Recovery is not for everyone. If it stresses you out to have a large drawdown, donīt do it. Continue with your method. A huge part of being a successful trader is being relaxed while you do it. If you are tense, not only will you make mistakes, you will also damage your health. I am also a pilot. I know how critical it is to remain calm and relaxed when you are in a storm, at night with lightning all around you. Trading is similar.

Yes, very important point. I have considered adding resistance levels as a rule, but I donīt want to exclude trades that are still profitable where there are no resistance levels.

For now, keep constantly in your mind to give priority to trades that have nice resistance or support on the outside area of the bands. Those are nearly infallible.

I experimented with 2 ways of recovery trades last week.

1. Lock and Unlock
Where the logical StopLoss would be placed, a pending order in opposite direction with same lotsize as active order is placed. ( no StopLoss, no TakeProfit )

2. No hedge, just start recovery 100 Pips or whatever distance you choose.

I personally prefer method 1 and I combine it with method 2 in this way:

All the way to the distance where I plan to start the recovery trade,
my "lock"-position is collecting profit.
I close it with good profit when I place the Recovery trade.

I wonder if divergence on the tmaslope means anything .. still observing, great work by Alfredo and his fellow contributors ..

What about the USDCAD trade of yesterday?

As I'm leaving for the whole day I did this way:

1) Seeing on the morning that price went against of about 50 pips and that UCa was crossing from south the lower TMA band, I entered a 2nd position at 7:30gmt.
All other conditions were met (slope in "grey area" ma cross blue bull spike in the previous candles and I had a support line under)

2) I lowered TP just a bit above break even (. 9983) and my SL is set now to .9875

I'd appreciate your comment if you'll have time.

If you enter a short trade while it is in range mode (TMA Slope between -.5 and .5) and price moves up and the TMA Slope goes above .5 would you look to close the position?

I am up to page 31 so far so hope you don't mind me posting a chart for your analysis when you get time, thanks.

GU M15 price pierced outer band, bounced off R1, exteme bear spike appeared (but weaker white line), MA crossover histogram was red (changing between red and blue now) TMA slope 0.26.
