DislikedI believe using fixed amounts is not so hopeful,
using average amounts will help us more !
It will use yellow for doubt modes ! lime for strong up and red for strong down.
if slope is under 20 percent of average of lime slopes it is in doubt mode if higher than 20 percent it is a strong mode
like the one attached !
I did not edit the problems with oil gold jpy pairs etcIgnored
DislikedThanks. The value on the upper left of the indi looks to be exactly the same and the graphical difference is very minor. I actually look at the value more than anything. By the way, it would be great to have that value displayed a little larger for us old traders...Ignored
DislikedEast Ryder, on closer review, your indicator seems to work perfectly on some of the odd number, pairs, futures, etc., but the rest display one decimal too large. For example: EurUsd shows -2.41 while on the other TMA Slope indi it displays -0.2498. Could you look at it please and see if you can fix it.
Thanks a lot.Ignored

DislikedHello Al and all. Been following the thread, although not trading it at this time. Too easy to keep switching from one system to another and not making money.
Al, too you -- nice to see a gentleman running this thread.
I did take a look at TMAslope and the problems that people are having with it. I change the logic used to calculate the tick weight for differt pairs and different brokers. You will find it attached. Note that I compiled it under MT4 Build 409. If you are not using Build 409 or higher, it could crash or hang your system....Ignored
DislikedEasyRyder beat me to it. I was just going to recommend that people must be careful when saying .1 or .5 is a certain degree level. That is not a correct assumption.
EasyRyder has pointed out the indicator levels depend on the range or Tick values of prices.
His correction should fix the 3 digit prices, but as far as degrees prices are moving, is a whole other story.
If you follow any Gann techniques, you will understand. MT4 price charts are not set up to measure degrees of price movement.
The TMA slope indicator parameters have to be adjusted...Ignored
DislikedCarl, I have been trading this thing for almost a year, and I can tell you that having that indicator helped me quite a bit today to filter out the potentially bad trades. When you follow a total of 24 charts real time on 3 screens like I do and are 61 years old, making a mistake ainīt that hard.Ignored

DislikedAl,
Last week I placed an order for GPB/USD to go short on Feb 24th. The trade went against me and I was stopped out. I looked back at the trade and if I had used the recovery method, I could have gotten out at break even or made a profit if I chose to stay in the trade long enough. This method is gaining my interest if I can just convince myself to do it.
