nice gy trade btw... if i would have been paying attention i would have taken the same trade..

i need to get back to my mt4 charts... i miss alot only using the oanda ones...

im long uj and eu for long term... i hope uj holds

Cheers matey! It was a classic double bottom (weekly chart) trade for me. I trade mainly of the daily/weekly timeframes these days with some scalps on the lower timeframes. I went in with a few more positions after it printed the first bullish engulfing on the weekly, but I have scaled out of those ones now. I will look to add at some point, but I am still trying to perfect the art of building positions with minimal risk and I am finding this the tricky bit.

I have 81.47 as next resistance on UJ but next weekly supply is @ 83.85-85.52 and I expect price to turn here. I doubt it will go back all the way to 76, but I do expect it to test 79.53 again, which would be a good place to add to longs for any long-term trades. My preference is for Geppy because my account is in GBP.

Not too sure about the EU long, but that pair is a bitch to trade right now especially with all the fundamental news surrounding it. No clear higher-level supply levels for me apart from the obvious swing highs. I can see price is trying to shoot for the 61.8% fib (1.3623) and that would not be a bad place for a short, but I will wait for confirmation on EU before I go short. My fundamental view on EU can be found on the same Macro Economic journal. April is going to be an interesting month with Greek elections!

eu will tank a gain a visit to 35still in site then the big dumb

Greece i think they might go back to drachma its %50 chance for now and the election might change that

Check out the new thread started by my mate Verb. He's quality! Hopefully we can put a different spin on things with some fundamental macro economic analysis behind our technical analysis to line up all the holes in the swiss cheese for some quality trades.

Hope the kids, baby and wife are doing great. Can't be long now before the potty training and kissing goodbye to those pooey nappies!

Bbaker: thanks for sharing ur view and great trade on GJ. I read through the thread u posted and I really enjoy the analysis. Takes a long time to really become that proficient at global macro trading. Seems to me the market is also realizing that the BOJ is committed to full easing possibly reminiscent of the early 2000's and if that continues to be the case then we may see much more drastic use of the yen as a funding currency for the carry trades and some reprieve in the bearish sentiment towards the USD.
I'll look forward to contributing to ur thread and hopefully spotting more of these great setups.

Ninja, buy limits placed from the top @ 78.00 down to 76.54 (5 total orders). Stops below 76.027. Will check back in on this setup in a few weeks. Weekly trade, could carry this one at least a few months if it wants to come get my orders.
