No dis-respect Al, I think you are sometimes undermining your thread by your interfering, premature fundamental analysis that make you to break your own thread rules by having the tendency to enter a trade prematurely, eg., the EUR that you just short. And each time you came up with these fundamental analysis it blew on your face. The point is not if its right or wrong; but it is the fact that you are breaking your own rules. Yesterday you said that you don't actually mind the fundamentals(news) but today you seem to talk more about fundamentals. I told you guys not to short EURUSD at any time yesterday because of the German IFO, but you ignored the warning and encouraged some newbies to loose their money and thereby undermining your thread. I gave that warning from experience of many years. Yea, many years, even though I don't often come to Forex Factory because I'm a busy guy. When you want to dis-obey your own rule why don't you do it privately, because believe it or not a lot of newbies here see you as a role model, and rightly so. They 're gonna start doing the same things you do even if the things are flawed, even though you can manage better, your way out of those bad situations and they can't. That is experience.

I respect you a lot and don't see this as an unnecessary criticism. I admire your kind gesture for starting this thread.

I think it is a greath thread if left alone in it's original form. If you loose a trade, and so what, as long as you win most of the time. When people loose trades with good minimum technical stop loss, they should move on to another trade. They should also pay attention to vital news(fundamentals). Also pay attention to futures and options expiring dates because no amount of adjustments to this system can take care of those dates. People are just lazy to look out for all these things and they push you around to be twickering your very good system with numerous indicators, now out of shape. Now you don't even have time to trade as you would like because they make you to keep changing a good system. I still trade it in it's original state with better resaults.

Does this qualify as a short trade using TMS ?
I realize however it would be a counter trend trade

You are right in some of what you say, but a few things you mention are a bit out of context or not factually correct. I didn´t ignore what you said about German IFO. I have said several times that I keep an eye on the news but do not trade by them. Your opinion was the eur was going up, and I didn´t short the EurUsd yesterday because the TMA was climbing steeply. I shorted EurAud a couple of times with success along with others on the thread.

As far as posting some orders where I jumped rule 4, you are correct. I won´t post when I do that anymore, because it can confuse the members, even though when I have done it I posted the reasons for it.

As far as speaking about fundamentals, I have no problem doing it as we may speak about how the weather is where we live. Without giving it too much importance and continuing to stick to the rules when we trade. We are going to become, above all a group of good friends. We shouldn´t limit what we talk about as long as it is not offensive to anyone.

Still, point well taken. I will be less candid and try to give an image of a perfect Alfredo even though I am far from it.

Rule one is subjective until we have a more objective indicator. I wouldn´t take that trade, but you decide.

We all know we got to follow the trend in our trades, don't we? We don't know the trend by just looking at the slant of the TMA because that depends on which side of the channel PA is happening. You see the trend by looking at the nearest complementing higher time frames. Example, if you are trading 15 mins. TF you have a look at 1 HR TF. Its pretty basic stuff really.

Putting the slant of the TMA on the rule book as the trend, in my opinion is at best, forensic rascality.

Agree with much you said, however i really would appreciate for you to keep posting when you enter. I think that more aggressive traders such as myself are ready to risk getting i early. Cannot see how it can confuse people aside the fact thats this thread is still new. As i see it, as long as you explicitly say you jumped in early you should continue doing it, people will eventually get used to it and some may decide to join you at their own risk. However, this is your choice to take, just my 2cents.
Edit: This also considering that after you go in a trade you have to continue checking it for the 4th rule to be fulfilled and post then..

i agree with you
it's the rule 1 that i don't like in this method so far because it doesnt help much our trades so far
the trend to follow has to be defined on another setting than tma slope

our problem when in a negative float is just a math problem.
not a pair problem
not a trend problem
just a risk of seeing our equity reduce more, and margin going to 0
which would stop our possibilities of trading
so why just not think of a global math recovery method ?

ex : my trade is -100 pips with 1 lot
i continue trading and make a +20 pips with 1 lot on another pair
i close 0.2 lots of my negative floating trade
this first trade...
