Had gold long for a couple of hours but got out just before the big move as it didn`t seem to be able to break the centre line! Oh well, practice account only but still 25 pips!

PS: Al, I think it`s great the way you are assisting with practical advice. All too often we`re thrown the book about how to fish but never really shown how!

I should have kept my take profit large, but I pulled out early. A profit is a profit though, even when it's only monopoly money.

I would like to mention something. As I´ve said before, I have traded this system now for 10 months. I can guarantee you that today it is not trading like the system I know. On a normal volatility day, almost every pair is going from band to band, sometimes within 4 to 6 candles. Today, I´m having to enter trades inside the bands because the market is so quiet. Normally all my trades begin beyond the bands. Believe me. This is a lot easier to trade on normal days than it is today.

I took 5 trades today on the 15m chart at the LO, since E/U on the 1H TF was ranging today. Thought i'd give it a go since i am looking for a scalp system.

G/U +40 pips
E/A +30 pips
USD/CAD + 20 pips
A/U +40 pips
USD/CHF + 20 pips

Total for the day : 150 pips

I just applied some really simple rules to get a 100% win rate today.

Trade with the trend the trend is your friend (almost all those trades that i took bounced off the daily pivot and went in the direction of the trend)
I did look for the pairs that PA was at the top or bottom of the TMA

If the TMA is pointing up i would look for only longs from the bottom of the TMA
If the TMA pointing down i would look for only shorts from the top of the TMA
If TMA is flat then i would trade the top and the bottom as PA will be moving side ways or i would leave it out.

Im not tyring to change the rules as AL has already set them.
These are just my rules that i would implement to my scalping system to trade at a higher success rate and to be a conservative trader. I thought I would share it thats all.

I seen you guys looking for a nice daily pivot indi. Heres one that is useful

Any reason for the low volatility?

It´s the calm before the storm, Typical of change of trends. From my experience, A news piece will come out that will be the trigger, but this market wants to go down. EURUSD also. We´ll see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks X-Man. If you only took the trend following trades, were did you enter them in relation to the bands? Did you use the spike and the MA Cross signals for entry?.

Great Trading, I took 53 pips myself 33 on AUD/USD and 20 on USD/CAD. As they say; the trend is your friend so go with it.

Yes. I agree. I usually trade with the trend and very seldom counter trend. With TMA, setting trend rules is not as easy as X-Man states, because it can be pointing up and change a few bars later because of the repainting issue, but I have traded a long time with TMA and I have a pretty good idea of the changes I will include tonight in that regard. The win rate in the system as it stands is already around 90% in my experience. Adding trend rules will increase the winners as X-Man showed with his trades, but it will also reduce the amount of trades available at any given point.

Alorente perfect, we are following your system with real money but at low volumes, we are awaiting developments this comment.
