the low ADR the past 2 days indicate a breakout or a day with above average range , hopefully it does not start during Asia

i remember once when you were explaining compounding you said that i would get spoiled with dustbins because 50-60 pips/day become the norm and the expectation ... if this pair would continue to do the unusual i think that could be true

true..... the beauty is that if you compound , you reach a level within a short period of time where the compounding drives your account growth rather than huge pip gains

all you need is to be consistently average , it does help obviously if you can average around 50-60 pips/day but you really don`t need spectacular numbers every day

it is really scary what compounding can do to a small investment account over a relatively short period of time, the growth is exponential and feeds on itself , all you need to do is to find a strategy where you can add pips consistently.....and stick to the plan like superglue

no worries

i have done the math and have started compounding ... just slow and easy, no stress, staying in my little comfort zone so won't be retiring soon

When i'm fully loaded, this actually isn't that far off base. As long as the risk is calculated proper... its all the same to me. Cash sitting idle isn't doing much good for me in the forex account.

Most important , first consistent gains then only consider compounding.

You can set up different levels of compounding , almost like a pyramid where you would compound the profits at a higher risk factor than the original capital amount.

I used a fixed level of compounding for 12 months @ 2.5 % risk/trade

For the next 14 months I set up a fairly conservative compounding pyramid using 20% of the profits from first 12 months and maintained fixed level of compounding on the balance.

That is way to much for me. I'm very risk adverse... but maybe it's time I should up it a little..
