@grechmar: candle 2 is LO . so when you open its on candle 2. but i got it wrong thinking that candle 1 is pullback candle.

I came across this interesting PDF this morning which is based on 4 year backtesting for EMA,SMA,Stochastic and RSI indcators. Gives a good breakdown of results on every timeframe.
One of the problems i always had was determining the best settings for the indicators i use, therefore any comments especially on EMA and SMA would be helpful. I trade mostly the H1 and when i am scalping i trade M15 but i am using the same settings on both timeframes which i think could be wrong. Any help with these settings on both timeframes would be appreciated.

hey maudur. can you explain me why you were going short?
why didnt you enter long on third candle? did you notice 2nd candle is a fake out?

i really want to understand the system and how trader thought in such a case. thank you

That bearish divergence in TDI indicates a potential fall in PA, why would you want to long there?

i enter short and end of LO candle and close it with 15 pip loss

why did you say candle 2 is a slight pullback candle? candle 2 and candle 3 is very much the same for me, the only different i notice is the body size. 2nd candle is smaller. is it because of this?

oh and 1 more thing. is it a pullback candle at LO today? i take short at the next pullback candle. TDI also cross and have a good angle. a good entry i thought. its been nearly an hour and still struggling close to low channel and now, it starting...
MBL - market base line. its the yellow line on the TDI.
When a candle just changes direction it does not mean its a pullback candle.

Todays candle at LO is not a pullback candle.

A pullback candle will stick out like a sore thumb. You will notice the wick is longer than anything else. It stands out from the rest of the candles.

Just remember PA will create an extra long wick then reverse. this to some traders is stop hunting

I am trading with CMC Markets and using eSignal for my market feed (and because the charting on CMC is so awful).

Could someone please tell me how I convert the MT4 signals that you guys are using into an eSignal equivalent?

i remembered finding your post that marking the pullback candle. i need to search that again xD.

and btw. even though that its not pullback candle on LO. is not that still a good entry? price close below the ma, TDI cross and with good angle too, the only problem probably it is too close to low channel.( but i thought you said PA is king and you didnt bother about the channel. i might be wrong though)

:-~ . i still can't differentiate between pullback candle and candle that change direction.
i thought that pullback candle is that will form a high then reverse then close below the open of the candle if the prev candle are bullish. then the other around if the prev candle are bearish.
reverse mean change direction right? or am i missing something important here? my head feels like it would explode soon lol xD.

it is just my guess . but is the wick should longer than any of other wick candle? so if prev candle is bullish, the wick should go higher than prev bar hi. and if prev candle are bearish, the wick should go lower than prev bar low?
or if the bar looks like a doji ?

If you look at H1 TDI you'll see that PA has no momentum nor direction of any kind. Chart is perfectly flat.
