Hi Liberum,

You took that long based on what at 1.3242 ?There was no clear S3 signal at that price.Respect the plan.
I wouldnt believe in a long right now unless we also see the round number 1.33 severly pierced. And by then the situation will be overbought on both H1 and H4 begging for a retracement.
I'd rather believe in a short in a few hours based on a retracement, ill wait for the system to show me the way.In the end we trade what we see

I switched to 15m to get a better entry. It was clear the selling halted (buy on dips) and on a 15m chart it was better to spot. Already closed the trade at 3286. There was also a bounce on the 60 ema and a cross in TDI.

So I used the S3 system, but on a smaller timeframe.

Went long on the opening of the second candle, and just exited for -15 after a huge reversal and now it seems to be going back up. Can I cry now?

Hi, I didnt take long as too much overhead Resistance, from 8th Feb onwards, and Stop too far away for my liking, for what looked like not a great reward trade, plus TDI was not helpful either. Will wait for better signal. I look forward to PHx 62s take on things . I may be way off the mark but I look forward to his masterful comments. Maybe I got it right, time will tell.

Do you close the trade?! It seems that doesn't work!

Looked at first 2 candles of London session, then I reread what Phx teaches over and over about London open.Today the 2 candles look hilariously imprevisible.Scary stuff! I'll stay away from any trade till this clears out.

X-Man,

Thank you very much for your effort. This document is very complete and very good.

I have the following questions:
- For all EMA's, they are typicals?

- In the first chart in the document, I see that the first entry is long when clearly the trend was still bearish. Could you please explain why this post?

- Finally, I thank you if you can give us a template please, I've never been able to square the channel to make it look like yours.

Thank you very much.

Yes all the EMAs are typical.

well if you look at the daily channel PA bounced off the bottom off the channel and started trending up.
There you can trade the bounce setting your first tp below the 60EMA then your second TP at maybe the 200 EMA and your third TP you can allow that to run all the way to the top but thats in a perfect trending market.
Usually PA will start walking on the trendline and wont have a bounce up to the top of the channel. Maybe you take the risk and exit at the candle colour change. Thats what I would do

i hardly trade the bounces off the channels , i prefer trading the bounces off the emas confirming with TDI

Ok i will post my template for the 4H charts

Aww, you should close those losing transactions when you see that TDI is curling big time.

The real killer here is the imprevisible London Open.

And I'll cite Phx62 here:

many times the 1st or 2nd candle will reverse and go the other way.....for me to be confident in that trade, there needs to be some other confirmation (i.e. support levels, strong PA, MA's, long term trend lines, divergence, fib levels, news, etc).....just something to increase the probabilities that PA will continue the direction of my trade.

I made the same...
Ignored
If you guys allow
I feel the need to cite myself from a yesterday post(citing a paragraph from Phx and also my future habits about London open)that I think it applies very much for today's LO..

[EDIT]
Short behaving pretty strong after this new candle.TDI bounce too.Resistance and DPP just below tough..
1.322 turnd out to be a very strong resistance.Trend line, 61.8 fib, Daily Pivot, 89 EMA coming up in the same zone of confulence...
Maybe this bear move was just the room to breath for the PA to move up again and pierce 1.33 today.

HI Everyone

Yeh basically the Greek Deal has been done so everyone is waiting for new news, be it bad or good , hence the indecisiveness,
plus USD was on holiday yesterday
I think things should start to make a trend when NY opens aswell but
Annoys the hell out of me when it just bounces , or should I say oscillates

Have a nice day

Now I know it after two unlucky trades.
The mistake was going long, but I did it, because of yesterday reversal, which I didn't take. So I didn't want to pass that opportunity again.

Still holding short @ 1.3253.

Reasons:

EUR/USD upmove was not confirmed by AUD/USD price action.

TDI signal is still indicating "short" per S3 rules.

Pullback bar completed @ 10:00 GMT.

I'm near the last paragraph of this painful and rewarding journey. Amendments / improvements are welcome.

Make the mistakes. Gamble by entering on poor quality signals. Get emotional. Observe your emotions. Lose money.
Listen to the seniors. Identify the good quality signals you can. Do the work to confirm they do work most of the time by studying old charts. Only enter on those signals. Make money. Lose money by not waiting for those signals.
Analyse trades with the seniors to learn more price behaviour. Do the work to confirm those behaviours by studying old charts, thereby increasing your signals. Listen to the seniors' advice on greed, patience, discipline and money management. Lose your greed and develop your patience and discipline by only entering on those signals. Build a plan. Lose your emotion. Make money. Slap yourself when you lose money by not following your plan.
Do the work and read widely and analyse trades with the seniors to learn more price and market behaviour. Confirm those behaviours by studying old charts, thereby increasing your understanding and signals. Only enter on those signals. Improve your plan. Make money.
Repeat the actions in red.
Thanks for your help, warmth and straight talking Heather.
