It happened to me but i was able to figure out what i was doing wrong..
instead of watching Jim's or Mike's videos before i go to sleep, i watch them after waking up from a sleep or nap..
hope it helps my friend.

Not much interesting for me here. I'll be watching 1.450 or 1.5 and in the mean time see if we develop any patterns or more info to the story.

In the most basic sense we had a small pinbar against the trend, weak close. FTA need to be watched closely and price will likely hit those areas too. But these aren't ones that I expect too much more then that(or at least they tend to chop around even when they do hit their targets like this one).

Be careful here though remember we want the open and close to be within the prior bar. Since price gapped up there is no prior bar to be contained within. This doesn't make it wrong, but I would stick to the basics first as defined by james before trying to take some of the trickier situations.

Hi,
Well, I had moved the stop below the left eye and I had already taken off 50% profit. So, if we think about it, my original stop was something like 20 pips, I took about 18 pips profit at the FTA, then moved the SL to an area that was about 6 pips below my entry+ 2 pip spread, which means that even if, price came back and stopped me out before I physically moved the SL to my original entry + spread, I was still at BE+.

Just closed it out.

It can be very simple h2. The more practise and chart time you do, the easier it becomes. Most of it is waiting for patterns and/or setups to develop at key levels.

Let's wait for this one h2, on the Daily Eur/Chf. Price is ranging between two key levels. Let's wait and see where Price . . Close Above or Below ..and see if an opportunity presents itself . .

Yeah, it is an interesting alert system, never seen with with fibs TL and rectangles, seems like it may be just your cup of tea, Jim.

As I know you like to use the TL horizontally as the targets.

We were trading in opposite directions.

You can use any style of horizontal lines you like, it will alert you at each line touch, you can draw rectangles and have it alert you,...

It really helps me out!!!, everytime i draw a tl, horizontal, or whatever, i have to set an alert on my broker. If i am interested in a tl, everytime a bar closes i have to set again the alert, and guess what, i forget about it, and i miss the tl touches.

You made my day with this. I am sure i am going to improve my trading with this.

Yeah, some alerts are too input intensive, I like the simple ones but, we have to make sure we are not just responding to the alert like a lab rat, but also take the time to analyze what is going on with the area at the time it alerts us. I thin is also a danger of us seeing a possible situation at an price level, the forgeting about it till the alert goes off, then just taking it irrespective of the current situation.

Thank you for your recommendations. I only use what i think are really important levels-trendlines, and without pa - no action - no trade.

But i need an alert that tells me when a tl is touched, this way the levels are moving, so the alert does. One of the alert parameters of your indicator is an email alert. I set the email alert parameter to yes, but i cant find where to put the email i want the alert to be sent. Do you know how to set this up?

PD: Nice to read you around!

In MT4, I think you have to go to Tools, Options and input your smtp server and details. Then it will send the mail to that address.
