I think I’m blushing, but thanks for the comments. My writing has been a little off as of late, I feel, but I am trying to get back ‘on-form’.

Yes, the Greek economy has a fairly negligible percentage of European market share, and any default has most certainly been ‘priced-in’. That said, there is the contagion effects of a default, and sudden awareness by the European public of the failure of the single currency for certain countries. How this will fallout is anyone’s guess at present, but those that hold the strings to money control have been the ones that the politicians and technocrats have quietly been reassuring and allowing the time to prepare. We have not.

As for other European countries: hmm, Portugal has said that it will not need additional aid, but then we all saw the video of the Portuguese PM being quietly told a week or so ago that the ECB will help them out. Spain – a mess to be addressed. Italy – now that they are a satellite dictatorship with a leader imposed upon them from Brussels, and with a history with Goldman Sachs, news of the falling living standards and rising discontent is being quashed from the MSM. I have two friends living there, and when I have spoken with them about how life is under Mario Monti, they are telling me that all bad news is being brushed under the carpet at present whilst the powers that be tell the public that LTRO is the new black... so to speak.

It is going to be interesting to see the CDS reaction should a default be declared. It will also be interesting to see, as you say, what will happen with the indices. Hmm, perhaps Gold will tank as big money dumps liquid assets to cover an equity collapse… wasn’t it just a few months ago that we read of a fall of anything up to 70% of value once the indices topped out? Well, we will see, but I think any fall in PM will be short lived as bargain hunters look for cheap PM, and the public jump on the band wagon as they see their savings and pensions annihilated.

I see the nationalization of some major banks in Europe this year – and I mean in France, and possibly also Germany – and a few bank runs.

Right, off to the ATM before my access to physical notes is restricted. Two month’s living expenses, I think.

I think that we in the west may not be aware of what the full implications may be of China's position in the world today. Personally I think they despise the Bilderbergs and will take full advantage of what's happening in Europe in their usual undestated way.

Here in Canada we have seen their slow but inevitable "infiltration" into our resource sectors and our financial sectors (to a lesser degree) and even into our "white culture". We jokingly call Vancouver, Hongcouver. Our "anything to be perceived as politically correct" government even prints health care and social documents in Chinese so that the Chinese imigrants don't have the inconvenience of having to learn the language of the country. Ironically most of the Chinese imigrants in Canada (except for maybe the old folks) speak, read and write better english than most of the rest of the country. They have certainly played our politicians as dupes and continue to do so garnering millions that will inevitably be worth billions in sanctions all at the expense of the common citizen while the country runs an ever increasing debt.

I would think that Europe is in for much of the same, the Chinese are after all, the masters at bottom feeding and one upmanship, IMHO.

Isn't there an old addage that says that if the Chinese started marching out of China 4 abreast we would never see the end of the line. Well, it's happening. Welcome to the New World Order and I don't mean the Bilderberg one.

yeah from what i read here greece is going to get help, spain is gething help and italy is part of illuminaty, and portugal is gething some help too even tho it dosen't need it, so everything is fine, that is why the yurow is going north, I'm only waiting for the realizacion or bether say the finalizacion of this dream to drop like a rock just like in 2009, 2008, is just a mather of time me think, see you at 1.1800...........
