You can come out with your fundamental spill but we are technical traders. We cant blindly rush into the markets and sell based on the china story.

The most pressing issue for the markets now is europe. If we have a greece solution pleasing to the market we can have 2 weeks of risk on trades where all shorters will lose their shirts. After that when all seems good then china will come in. or more usa bond downgrade or issues with uk etc. At the moment until the markets say so it is a 'long' situation...

new week new group of noobs in here saying to short what else is new. When the see spikes on au they short and lose their account makes me happy because he stupdiity amuses me. I love the fct that they think thy have this crazy knowledge that they know au is going down and they will make a million be overleveraging and waiting for parity. No freee lunches noobs. 1.2 and above ill say it one last time aud cb will have to intervene. Read my posts if u want to know why.

Just lost pips on my short USD/JPY due to intervention; so I stopped by here to see what is happening. Should I buy or sell AUD/USD?

My opinion is if the market wasn't largely driven by worries about Greece possibly getting kicked out of the EZ, we would have already seen fresh new highs above 1.11.
Look out for a bailout resolution to stock up on longs this week.

Also be wary of the RBA is releasing it's meeting minutes on Tuesday about the decision to keep rate unchanged and HSBC Chinese flash PPI on Wednesday...

yea expecting gap up unless any bad news out from Greece from open , i am looking around 073x . 8.15h to go let's wait and see

edit : i never hold trading for weekend unless i slept over keyboard

I think gap UP will not be that big.. it may go to 1.0800 only if greece pass the resolution that too monitory policy in picture may halt gains for now.

It's playing out nicely so far. Currently holding longs @ 1.0757 and 1.0693

Fairly confident of a favourable result at the Euro meeting tomorrow. There is a chance that plans will be delayed (again).. in which case we will see more downside. That would be great, because it will only mean we can buy more AUD at a great discount

I still see 1.10 as an absolute possibility this week. Again, short with caution!

and if it will fall to 1.05 probably we wont see you and your account in here again,and for it going up or down is many reasons to guess the only smart way is as Stulic said to wait till tuesday until all economic data comes out,otherwise its just gamble till then.

How are you so bullish when there are huge problems with europe?

At the end of the day AUD is just a high beta EUR

Nice dig there.. For one, it is a drop in the ocean of my leverage. Two, I will still be holding those longs even if we're sub-parity, we are going UP in the long term, open your eyes. Three, I enjoy small "gambling" on news, especially when I'm confident of the outcome. Four, go back into your hole and stop making empty assumptions

Europe is a side show, a temporary distraction in the big scheme of things! They will pull through just fine..

yes but look what happened in 2008 with Lehman AUD fell 1000's of pips. If Greece tumbles (which it will (Greek 1yr yield 500+%)). it will Lehman X2 and AUD will tank alongside with SP500.

Question how bullish on US equities are you?

quick answer on iphone.. very bullish in the medium to long term (this year and coming 2-5 years). I'll continue to buy dips and enjoy the ride
