If one ever wondered how to set your self up in an "offshore", well I guess the man just told us - 7 to 14 days and your good to go - includes a trading account by the sounds of it . One wouldn't have to necessarily go in with those guys money, just do your own thing and take care of the guys on the ground, they always expect a cut and will be good to you if you do .

.........Well fxhermit the trick is that they provide the money if I'm not mistaking in what I read here, and that is what we need, if I make 5% of the little money I have, is nothing, now when you make 5% of a big shunk of money then there is your cut, let say tree of us, you, me and Chillipiper take each an 8 hour shift and average a 5% a month each, we are averaging 15% a month, to pay the investors 4.5% a year, I mean if we make 15% a month, that is 180% a year without compounding, compounding it could a be up to 3000% a year, depending of how much the monthly extractions are.......and all we need is a UAE corporation and an insurance from a local insurance firm, that is a fee monthly that is all, and local person with a license, that is all......

Yeah, I hear you Chonchy and I think it has possibilities, however it's just not my cup of tea. I rather like the idea of being an independent trader - kinda the reason why I got into it in the first place. Besides, where I live they'd throw me in the klink for participating without jumping throught the BC SEC hoops at great time and expense, which I'm just not prepared to do. Have already had a bit of foolishness from them in the past. No desire to go their again. Other traders however, ...... the door's open I guess??

I remember asking dad about Castro when I was about 9 years old. I asked, "Is Castro a good guy or bad?"
Dad said...he couldn't tell!! This was about 1955. We were living in Louisiana ...at the time. Dad was in the Army there.
Cuba was fairly close and in the news a lot. The Cubans were asking the same question!

Ike was president.
This past July, we had the pleasure of sharing a summer barbecue with a refugee from Cuba . Our dinner conversation was starkly different than most.

This refugee came to the United States as a young boy in the early 1960's. His family was more fortunate than most, as they were able to bring a suitcase...and $100 when they fled Castro's newly formed revolutionary paradise.

Our dinner consisted of all-American fare: hamburgers, potato salad, watermelon and fresh ears of sweet corn. This is a menu shared with family and friends nationwide...while celebrating the birth of our beloved America ...on the Fourth of July.

We began with a simple discussion about our country, and the direction it has taken since Barack Obama came to power. We shared the usual complaints about the sour economy and liberal social engineering emanating from the rulers in Washington .

But then he said it. The sentence came naturally. I assume it was unplanned. But it carried the weight of a freight train. "You know when Castro took power, none of us knew he was a Communist".
We sat stunned. He continued, "Yes, we all thought he was a patriot, a nationalist. Before the revolution he didn't sound like a radical."
The comparison at this point was easy, and I interjected, "You mean just like Barack Obama?"
He responded; "Yes, just like Barack Obama."
He continued, "We were all shocked as the government just continued to grab more power. First they said the revolution is over, so please turn in your guns. We all complied."

I remember my uncle saying after it started; “ Castro will only nationalize some of the big industries. He will never come and take our family hardware store!! ” But that is exactly what happened. Castro started with the sugar mills and the large industries, but they eventually came and knocked on the door of our family hardware store. My family had run this store for generations. They said we now own the hardware store, you work for us. And that nice, large four-bedroom home you own...it is now our property also, and...you can move yourself and five children into two rooms of the house, because others are moving in with you."
The lesson learned from this discussion, is a lesson most Americans refuse to hear. Political leaders can lie about their agenda and once in office...they can take totally unexpected turns.

If you had asked us three years ago if we thought General Motors would be nationalized, we would have never believed it. We could never contemplate a country where the rule of law, the most fundamental building block of a justice society...would be evaporating, just like it did in Castro's Cuba in the early 1960's

.........Wow, chillipiper, a nut in my troad and tiers in my eyes, i have to tell you that I just come from the airport, drop my wife there, she is going to see her only person tht remain in there from all here relatives, her mother die, her father as well, as well as her brother, her father had a gas station and a big farm and castro came and puff, took it, her mother had more land with cows and horses than most farmers we know, and castro came and puff took it, first he said oh well we need to split the good betwing the people, but then he came and said well you guys, or some of you don't know what to do with this land so we will create the state and the state will control all the land for the beenfit of all, then the state took all the land exploited it and paid for his military and defence of an enemi that never esist, just like this war on terror this goverment have created, so yeah it does looks like the begining of a castro double regime right on our back yard, my wife is going to see her godmother that love her very much and is 90 years old so she felt that she needed to go and pay a last visit, she haven't gone back since she came in 1980, 32 years ago without seeing the godmother that alsmost raise her, they wanted to get out since 1961 but castro didn't let them until 1980 the mariel bridge, I will never go back to see anybody, I don't like to take my shoes off in front of people, they have always stink so much that I'm ashame to take them off in public, and TSA won't let me travel without taking them off, so I don't travel, oh well, maybe some day our contry will be free again, but for what I see is all the contrary..............

The Italian news agency ANSA quoted the forensic medical expert who carried out the toxicology test as dismissing Codacons' concerns about the external trace of cocaine.
The expert, Marcello Chiarotti, was quoted as saying the modest trace of cocaine "was a marginal problem that absolutely doesn't invalidate the results of the analysis" that found none of the drug inside the hair itself or in the urine. Traces of cocaine in the urine or inside the hair itself would have pointed to consumption.

...........Is this me or I see a little bit of divergence on this 30M, so monday may be a down drop, but DOW is reaching the 13 000 mark so a push north to push the envelope may be in place before that..........good luck in all you do out there.......

............In this one hour chart, I notice that a previus divergence of the histo provoqued a drop after a little while, so now the patern repeat here and it may do the same, now they are also seing this in their charts so they may go the other way to feck us............

the divergence? is at the end of the chart, price is going up like the yellow trend lines mark and the histo is going down or decreasing, on the second chart is twice back on the magenta trend lines and later on the yellow ones and the histo, hope it helps...........if not ask away, we are here to help eachother.......

.........I mean don't get me wrong here, I'm still learning about all this divergence thingy from fxhermit and if I'm not wrong in my learning curve, this is divergence on the histogram and in the green and red indicators also, some one correct me if i'm wrong here, please........

Well, I was trying to throw a post together with a timeline of events that could account for the persistent delays, and regular fallouts to progress in Greece, and link it together with comments from Germany, the ECB, the FED and so on. However, while doing so, the potential scenario has once again been changed with comments yesterday out of Europe. In a way, this is good as it negates the need for me to bore any reader with a chronology that is, when all is said and done, based on supposition.

My gut feeling on this is that Merkel is having her arm twisted by the likes of the FED, understands that her political career is on the line if she pisses off her voters and gives more to the Greeks, and is possibly still trying to assuage Sarkozy as he attempts to get more money pumped into the Greek banking sector in order for French banks to receive their pay checks before default… of course, all this money is ultimately being paid for by the taxpayer, but we won’t go there today.

And so, not dwelling too much on the comments from Jean-Claude Juncker, nor the quiet actions of Mario Draghi and a few other notable crushers of reasoned dissent, it is looking like an acceleration to events may be on the cards. Hey, the Chinese told José Manuel Barroso and Herman Van Rompuy to get lost earlier this week, so perhaps the Chinese aren't interested in a seat at the Bilderberg table, and they are certainly anti-semetic.

I think that I will hold fire on any further trades this week, as I want to see just what, if any, monies flow to Greece next week. Let’s not forget that the IMF et al have said that they will reduce their monetary commitment to any further Greek loans, which to me is a blatant statement that they do not think that what they put in, they will get back. And the IMF are not alone in publicly declaring their reduction to any further loans.

It makes sense that preparations have been made for a default, and that it has taken this long to reach the fall of Greece when one considers just how much money has been involved with Europe, and the amount of loss that certain entities would incur if a default had happened a year or so ago. It is also disgusting that what seems to have happened is that the man on the street is going to bear the full force of a default, while those that were able to quietly shifted their capital out of harm’s way...and I’m not just thinking of the 26 billion Euro that made its way out of official Greek accounts and into Switzerland – not much talk of this – but that belonging to governments. It stinks; and even more so when one considers that the average saver does not have the channels to shift capital about, unlike those that control the rules.

So, let’s watch tomorrow to see if Greece does indeed receive the funds necessary to see it past the March 20th deadline. I doubt it, and as I’ve been told, default is planned to be declared on March 23rd – after market close. GS and JP Morgan are two of the Wall Street banks that I have been told are in the loop on this one, and so it would be interesting to see their open positions.

I also note this:

… the ECB Greek bond swap is now done. This means that each and every European bond that you own is now subordinated to the ECB and the European Union. If they can swap their bonds for new bonds with different terms, no CAC clause in this case, then they can swap their bonds for any terms and conditions they like while the bonds of private holders are held to the original indenture. The equity markets may rally on this news because they are focused on a deal getting done but anyone in fixed income should now consider retching under their desks as we all just took one of the biggest screwings of our lives that may well not be a singular event.

And did anyone read about the sting in Italy of the 6 trillion in US treasury bonds? Hmm, seem to recall something similar happening a year or so ago, and again in Italy. One for Chonchy, Cesar and Divine Cosmos – something is not right about this…

it has been a while since i posted at FF, but your writing re the Greek debacle has been the best reads in a long long time. you obviously have terrrific insights and the ability to communicate complex subject matter in simple language which in and of it self is a gift and an art.

look forward to reading more of your work and thoughts.

in this article from today's Telegraph the Ger FM's premise is that Greece is already acknowledged as being bankrupt so a formal bankruptcy will have no negative consequences for other EU members.

not certain i see it that way although do not pretend to be close to Schauble in skill or experience however if Greece fails and Portugal, Spain and Italy are already distressed as is fairly obvious by the respective sovereign bond (soaring) yields of late then the logic follows if PSI are that much larger than Greece how can all of this be 'positive' for others?

in other words, what is the upside for the markets here?.......i do not see it especially given equity markets are all trading at the tops of major ranges not seen since the summer of 2011, and on what exactly?.......the prospect for improvements in earnings?
