Congratulations AmaNZ. I am a newbie and been learning from X-Man, Phx62, Emmanuel, etc. I am inspired by X-man's 1,000 plus pips in 2 weeks. Thanks for sharing your results which further confirm to me that this strategy works. Would you be able to share your indicator for session hi/lo in this forum please. Looking ofrward to hear your results with this strategy.

i like this thread .. i use a similar method, only instead of TDI I use Fisher Transform and also Supdem as indies.. but i will give TDI a try now...please also find attached the latest version of Market hours indicator....mladen from Forex-TSD added a bar counter for me so it's suitable for backtesting now...

I know the second red arrow is a valid entry.

But i am not sure of the first one if it is valid. It clearly breaks the asian range and goes a couple of pips above yestardays high BUT stagnates until NY when it moves.

Id be tempted to get out after 4 hours of no movement and then reenter, but this is all hindsight.

Two trades today....a really nice one at LO.....the second one following a bounce off the support line and a pull through the 200 EMA.....both for +50 in live trading.....I am also doing some demo trading using a revised version of Big E's scalp system for other times than London....that would have added another 73 pips today.....

The breakout from yesterday support and price hit the next support @ 1.3093 before acting up for a short while.

Phx62, was the cross on your first trade well defined like that? Looking back My tdi was pretty flat (difficult to tell if it crossed), and had that well defined cross when the candle you entered at closed.

IS there something else that caught your eye. I understood trade two.

Nicely done as ususal.

I am also testing out Big E's 21/233 approach for lower TFs (I did change the 233 to 200 tho seeing as I can never resist futzing with a plan!) I does look very profitable once you have the higher TFs as trend confirmation. So I guess that would be scalping with the trend.

My day charts have the 21EMA and 200EMA - shift 0 and typical price - I am running those on my Day Chart thread, so won't polute this one with charts and set ups.

Haven't checked out the TMS thread in a while, but not sure if Big E can take credit for the whole 21/233 system. Someone I know asked me to evaluate a system a while back called the max trading system where the guy used the 233 to determine trend (or what he called Home Base) and the 21 was what he called his "momentum line". Just about any system will work if you follow it consistently, but this guy charged a few thousand dollars for his "system"...

For me, the setup candle qualified as a pullback candle with a long lower wick, higher close than the open and a short body....also Frankfurt and LO seem to create direction change quite often.....plus the cross of the TDI was enough for me to get in.....I know that if I am wrong, I can always close for BE or with the loss of a few pips....that's worth the risk to me......if you had done what I suggested in a previous post and opened either one of those trades with a 50 pip TP & 50 pip SL and walked away from your computer, you would have captured the 50 pips on either or both trades yourself......instead what I am seeing with you is called "analysis paralysis".......over-analysing every trade until the opportunity is gone.

I've done the same.....using the 200 EMA and entries above the 21 and the Market Base Line for longs....etc. Enough about that....still testing and off topic here.

Thank you. Good thing you continue to recognize the system's X-Man are you here at the beginning. This system is best and promising benefit prevail in case you discipline yourself to follow the rules and always follow its development near here. OMG.. charges thousands for that.. geez

on another note the main MOVING AVERAGES theres 7 of them .. IMO

but 2 of those 7 are what some may call them the MA's of the Institutions or those that are known MA's they use or look at, but also a lot of Retail Trader use these, so that makes these 2 MA's very powerfull versus the Sentiment reaction it causes when Prices are in range, also i may add when these 2 crosses each other example 50ma crosses the 200ma in a Bullish market some call this the "Golden Cross" this usually has a strong effect especially in stocks.

Top 7 Moving Averages (either sma or ema)

1- 200 ma
2- 50 ma
-----------
3- 20 ma
4- 10 ma
5- 5 ma
6- 100 ma
7- 34 ma

this also depends on it's own trading style, some may use the 60 ema or 55 sma or 200 sma or 200 ema, but it's often in the same range and you will see a bounce or hesitation in those areas most of the time.

myself i always have a 200 ma in the background not very visible but enough that i can see it when price is near and sometimes i have the 34 ma this is to have a "IN between MA of 20/50" instead of cluttering the charts with these 2 MA's i replace them with the 34 ma, it's cleaner yes i could put the 35ma to make it exactly in between the 20/50 but it won't make much difference in the end.

so thats my insight on MA's, they are lagging but still good to have and give a perception of what the markets (traders) reaction when these are nearby and/or to give a Trend direction.

Yeah this thread is growing already 300 pages and moving.

The trade you took i wouldve went short there because as you can see that PA is touching the bottom of the channel.
What happens when PA mostly touches the top or bottom of the channel?
It usually crosses the 60EMA.
So be careful for that.

At times it wont cross the EMA and would keep bouncing

Yes thats what hale mary is doing over analyzing every trade.
Analysis paralysis
Hale mary you got those symptoms badly.
I noticed you always trying to be 100% correct about every trade but in trading its not about been 100% correct.
When i take a trade i wont be 100% correct, no trader will ever be 100% correct coz we the small fish.

Our trades are based on probabilities and not garantees

Some traders think they have to know so much to be a successful trader.
I told many of my friends to start trading and i was going to be their personal tutor but as soon as they download a platform and look at the charts and then they look at the news they say its too complicated for them.
Like this so many others do the same and they feel safer working for someone else rather than gaining their financial freedom.
The answer is that you just have to know the simple things to trade and thats it.
I dont even worry about the news, the most i look at is that calender on forex factory and that will be more than enough but i seriously dont worry whose going to help the greece debt crisis or whose saying what. That really dont concern my trading actions.
i'll only watch or read about it if i want to know whats happening around me and for no other purpose at all.

Hale mary you are trying to confirm too much before entering a trade which will make you miss good trades.
