This is when i talk about the steepnesss of the cross on the TDI. When the green cross the red picture the hands on a clock. 3 O'clock is horizontal so its weak, its flat.
The steeper the TDI cross the better.

well, I got back in EP @1.3061 and recovered my London session -30pips loss.
Trade is protected now and will see if it will continue above this week' weekly pivot 1.3122.
Obseravtions:
Price rebound off the support zone which I mentioned early.
Last week' low being one of the support line.
The weekend price gap looks like filled now and the H4 momentum is looking good except for lower volatility.
Let's wait and see if 1.3122 can be the swing point to take price swing to test 1.3200 again tomorrow.

Here's an example of a APB pullback bar which did not produce a sell setup.
Pullback bar can be used for trade exit, for example to partial exit your trades.
APB pullback bar in a trending condition is an alert of price pullback. Sometimes it can occur before a reversal.
Always good to take a big picture view of all price action at all times and not react too quickly.
Have your trade setup plans written down and keep them up to date.

Nice score on this tricky day ! Would you please explaing what was the reason you didn't go long on the LO, when it broke the high of the previous bar by a few pips ? There was also a cross of the TDI on this candle.

See my post #3806.....also, with price being very close....right under the 200 EMA, I would have to see at least a strong break above the 200 to enter long. The same principle applied to the first short trade I took this morning...I waited for a break down thru 200 EMA to enter..... that also holds true with any solid resistance area where price has tested and failed to move past the resistance....

  1. Close of candle was not higher than upper Price Action Channel (PAC - Yellow lines on Emmanuel chart)
  2. PAC itself was downside
  3. Green line was under the 50 level
  4. Green line was under the Market Base Line (MBL - Yellow line on Emmanuel TDI)

Hope I did not make a mess of this, I understand emmanuel sticks to synergy rules much more than X-man

Haha ... ok, that makes a bunch of good reasons not to take this trade ;-) But they are not really in line with the 3S System of Xman ! I appreciate the input though ... Thanks.

I took 3 trades and all hit TP while I was asleep. Taking these trades on demo to kill the boredom as I usually trade on daily TF which is showing no sign of movement for the last couple of days.

Yen trades were a bit late by a candle or two but was away from computer.

According to Dean Malone it isn't. TDI indicates both trend direction and momentum. We may have the right trend direction (if green crosses over red market signal line) but as long as green price line is under the 50 level and under the MBL we have not enough momentum. This is for a long setup, opposite is true (green under red, under MBL and under 50) for a short setup.
Please note I'm exposing standard synergy rules. X-man rules may vary.

I entered EURJPY short on H4 yesterday, after the TDI cross. The price closed below EMA(200) and below EMA(60) so I anticipated a short move after the ranging period, but the price turned and hit my stop. What did I miss?

Gwsands,

All of my trades are determined by the TDI.

The green price line was above the red line, above
the yellow line and above the 50 line. Which is a
"Synergy" take the trade signal. The trade was also
above the moving averages (green moving averages)
which determines long term trend. Not part of
Synergy or X-Man system but very effective. This
was a very low risk trade. Once I make 25-30 pips
I was looking for a pull back and I wanted to take
the profits and run...

You entered on a pullback candle mate.
According to X-man description a short pullback candle is one with a long lower wick, bigger than the body of the candle, making a lower low (not quite in your chart, but in mine it is), and a close upper than the close of the previuos candle.
To X-man rules this is an inversion signal.
