Not easy to respond on this, everyone has its own trading character/fears/hopes/leverage/capital/views etc.
not banking all/most/a lot is not a problem as long as they do not turn into large losses and as long as enough of them get banked.
As for me I often do not risk a +20 pips trade and move my stop quit fast to BE. When that is done, I start seeing the BE trade as a success ie I have a free chance, enabling to see the further process more objectively.
I've always admired position traders targeting huge moves, never succeeded in accomplishing this and after a while I think it's better to have for example more then 1 trade a month because there are so many fishes.
Nothing wrong with banking when in doubt even when your targets are not reached. Remember a successful trade started with a perfect RR but loses that on the way for more profit. Determine for yourself what a so so result an average result and a killer is for you.
Often I close 50% of my average results not waiting for my target.
Often I close 80% of my killer results not waiting for my target.
Sometimes I succeed in getting my target.
There's only 1 optimal trade in RR terms. Leaving that point (you are in profit) makes it less optimal so banking and finding a better RR-setup is always ok whatever price is doing afterwards.
I know the dilemma that a +100 trade can turn in a +500 trade and how you hate yourself seeing that after closing the +100 trade, but the +100 trade is in the pocket and the trader chasing +500 often losses the whole trade.
Patience, big fishes and optimal RR are imo most important elements.
Again everyone trades differently with different circumstances but maybe some ideas apply to your situation.....

its bc your holding out for more and get retraced on and get fucked... we all do it... i have a problem doing that too...

dont b to hard on yourself this week was ranging/tight so we had no real continuation move.... just remember money is money even if you leave 20 pips on the table bank em... you can always reenter if you get another break...

easier said than done though lol
