Thanks Robik... I went through a series of quick disconnects and reconnects several times for about a half hour then experienced the long one... I think my software was not trying its usual auto reconnect on the last one and that is why it lasted so long.

On shut down and re-start, it took a minute or two longer than usual, but reconnected and I haven't had any problems since.

My orders were resting on MB's servers and all were filled, some with a little positive slippage so all is well that ends well.

Along with Forex does MB Trading UK allow trading in Spot Metals viz gold/silver ?

17:21 EST and trade server is unavailable. What's happening. Week after week the time of rollover extends. Why give quotes if trade server is down? Why so long?

Desktop trade server available from 5:11:48 EST when I reconnected 11 minutes ago on my end... you may need to call tech service

Then even worse,because it's related with MT4. Why it's so hard to keep good quality of service!

I have a live account and noticed in Desktop pro that it spiked at 2pm pacific time. When looking at charts from other companies the spike is not there. If I had a trade in progress would it have tripped a stop or is this isolated to the charts and not the actual trades?

No there are two bad ticks with a 5:01:00 Time stamp... I was editing them out when you posted.... the order server would have been down then, and your trade would not have executed.... it has a habit of throwing bad ticks at roll over

Thanks for the response I appreciate it. Is there a way to remove the bad ticks in desktop pro?

I don't know.. sorry. Maybe someone else can answer, if not look at the website for the manual on the platforms page I know it has a thorough manual.

Spot Gold and Silver is only available for viewing at the moment, but will be open for trading with us in the near future.

This was during our 5pm EST rollover and not from any actual trading and would not trigger a sell or buy for that matter.

Yes, first time since like ever, no crosses quotes and no lag. Obviously wider spreads, but it looks like an accurate representation of the mkt, unlike previously.

there was plenty of lag... up to 27 seconds

in this example the time at the beginning is the current timestamp (GMT timezone) and the timestamp in the quote (field 2014) lags 27 seconds.

I agree that there seems to be some improvement in comparison with the past but MBT has still to work on improving it's infrastructure which has problems handling such events as NFP that produce large number of quote updates.

Saw some quote delay during the NFP release compared to other brokers, but that is understandable, i got no complain at all.

I believe the cross quote and the spread spike problems has been fixed. I did not record any abnormal behaviors since this Monday.

crossed or erroneous quotes i can filter out in my algo but if the whole stream lags 27 seconds while market is moving fast, i can not trade on such delayed information and there is nothing i can do about it.

There is always room for improvement... but it looked like it was back to what it had been prior to the awful spread spikes we were getting.

If they are to give us an unfiltered quote feed... and that is what I want... maybe some lag during what is really an untradable few minutes every month in unavoidable. I don't know what is possible technology wise during such an onslaught of quotes as NFP....
