And I read that the loss of business to Iran via US/European contract cessation will quickly, if not already planned for, be regained by new contracts with BRIC countries.

It will be an interesting week...

Yep and they will be paying for it in Gold too, so price of oil goes up , price of Gold goes up ... how exactly is Iran any worse off . I think the West is getting bitch slapped and I imagine they will find an imaginary nuclear bomb in Iran very soon , so the trigger happy boys in the straight of Hormuz can finally have their orgy.
In any case Oil should be taking off next week if this vote goes through.

Yep... it's one thing stopping Gaddafi switching to Gold dinar and trying to get the African Leauge to start trading in such a gold-backed currency that would also be issued to citizens, or Hussain to Euro payment, but the US is busted, and trying desperately to retain reserve status.

I would hope that the US is smart enough to see that Iran may mark the final line for the patience of the BRICS...

I can see the Oil for Gold becoming fashionable, if it does take off (i.e. Iran does not get obliterated) my bets are on Venezuela to start asking for gold as well, and if that happens I think its the beginning of the end for USD reserve currency status.
An alternative , however, is to call off the oil sanctions, but that's going to leave a crater in Israel/US pride.

.........Those poor kids that are jumping around of adrenaline pumping because some war freak is telling them that soon we are going to teach this Iranians who is the boss, and so everybody and their systers is pump up allready to start the fight on that strait of hormuz, and meanwhile the generals and their families and the elite in a bunker 2 miles under ground, in the bases that Ben Bulford is talking avout here at Divinecosmos.com ...........poor inocent souls, instruments of our elite society, cheaps like gatorinla call them, and I wonder if the brics are any bether, I wonder if the BRIC is not finance by the elite also and who ever win on this fiasco is going to take it all and be the new world order, I can only wonder..........

...........and how it all ends?........what do we do to prepare for this end?.......Is our money safe in this platforms of trading? should we convert our money into gold? then what we will trade with, the ones that make a leaving on this, is Our job to trade, so what do we do? we convert into francs that are 40% back by gold, (only currency in the world that is back by 40% of gold, if I'm not mistaking, let me know your imput guys, thanks in advance.......

I think that events in Europe, and, indeed, the Middle East, in the next few weeks will determine the direction of Cable. Accordingly, I will trade with caution in order to avoid any surprises.

I would add that Cable has experienced a nice run up to the end of last week, and is somewhat timely, perhaps, given the expected unfurling of events to come.

There is not enough physical gold for the populations of today - globally, that is. If we did move to a metal-based economy, it would be silver, I guess, but power is too powerful now, and people, at least in the developed world, would not want, nor understand, why a fiat-based economy suddenly ceased. Can you imagine the panic!

Moving to the Franc may be possible, but would the Dollar accept this. Pff, the mind boggles when thinking of what would manifest in such a situation.

No, I think fiat will survive... as for the people, well, I have been arguing for a few years about stagflation, and we know it is here. Governments will welcome hyperinflation in order to eradicate debt - on their books, that is.

Thanks for those charts on USD/CHF and your analysis. Very interesting as I'm also trading USD/CHF more these days and holding a short with an unknown target.

Re Skype - I don't use it as I have a fairly slow internet connection where I live. I have used Voip with some success on mobile 3G networks, but not where I live. To tell you the truth I avoid it. I have too many requests for voice calls and PM's. I need to concentrate on my trading. I mean it.

I agree with this analisis, so yurow is going to follow Cable as usual and U/chf is going to head back up, only that yurow is hiting the redema100 there at 3350, 60 more or less, on the daily and it should bounce down but don't you think it may come back up to retest it and try to cross it before the Iran thing break up and all hell break lose?

so if I have to guess, I think yurow will keep going to 33XX like scrat mention a few days ago and then bounce but who know's where it will head ater that and what fundamentals we will have after that, my 2 cents.........

Move to the French countryside. None of this nonsense networking like in the UK, or Germany (I can decide if you live in Manchester and work for BMW, or are Manchunian, and live in Germany whilst working for BMW), it's straight down the phone line. I run 8MB - I think - and hardly ever have a slow network. Well, never, although about twice a year for a week or so the damn think constantly resets itself, and I put that down to maintenece, or something.

Hey, you don't think that this is when the spooks change the recording tapes on me, do you?

no problem I just don't want to lose you guys if FF deside to cut our conversation just like yesterday but is ok, give me your e-mail messages just in case I get spil from this site one day and I don't want to lose your contact............

..........This is my view of the USD/CHF........hit the redema100 and bounce like usual and then try to retest it or cross it, or get back into the trend with is up, long term because weekly is bouncing off the 30ema also, and it bounced of the redema100 before and now it needs to retest it, so me think that we should realy pay attention to sunday's move to see if it bounce or continue at those important levels, and I think is all in the Greece developments all about were the market is responding to, and also the Iran thing could affect the euro with the oil ban, and the dollar with the conflict, if they fight some how is good for the dollar and U/chf continue north, just like when the libia conflict, and the santions will affect euro more than Iran I think, but of course that is all plan to create caos and panic and war, but it will affect the euro momentarely and make it fall, if there is no conflit yurow will keep rallying me think if the greece conflict gets resolve, but how exatcly the Greece thing will get resolve only God know's because if they get the money and the people trow rocks the euro falls and if they don't get the money and the Greece declare default or insolvency then the euro will fall too, or not because the investors will asume that is a strong policy towars taking the sawer pill and things will improbe in the future for europe if everybody follow, italy, portugal and spain, but that we know is not happening, politicaly, ...........

...........so is all to hard for me to comprehend , so I will just stick to my 30M chart on sunday and get in and get out with a few pips at a time, as for those shorts smikester, just wait and trade some ealse mean while, don't close them because they will come back down there sooner or later, unless it dosen't let you trade anything ealse...........my 2 cents and not in gold, in fiat currency wish is less........

...........so how will all this work? because I see a decoupling in the future when the pound will appriciate and the yurwo will not, untill now usualy always the yurow follow's the pound but if the pound is excent from this Iran blockade (Iran not sending oil or payments in oil to europe) and the pound have his own oil, so how this goes about? pound dollar going up and yurow dollar going down?
