hello all. this would be nothing more than a try. im not a coder. i just cut and paste. i took forexhead system coded by steve with squalo indicator, and tried to combine it with asian breakout system by steve as well.
in some magical way the hybrid works, but obviously need to be changed, improved, and the code to be cleaned to make it coherent.

check it out if you find an interest in it, and suggest some improvements as needed.

Have you got the "sqDynamicBreakoutBoxOld" indicator as it uses this version to determine the Hi/Lo of the range. This is an older version of the indicator, in this post http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...76#post4803876, compared to v1.13 the current version i think by Squalou. I did have a try using the new indicator but it just keeps repainting and is not useable that is why Steve used this version and renamed it for convenience.

Hope this helps

dvirma good effort in making a multipair, i'll have a look when i have more time. I did plan to have a go at this myself but other projects have distracted me.

Regards

Mike

Hi Steve, Squalou, FH & Mer,
the adaptation of the Auto fib levels from Mer,s Breakout strategy is great, however I did notice that they are not numbered as they are in Mer,s indie!
Would it be possible to add this to the indie to make tp recognition better?

Hats off to you gentlemen for creating and adapting these systems and strategies.

Thank you!

This EA is unfortunately unusable, because does not respect the original system. In addition to the first trade after the box opens up dozens of fraudulent transactions.

I downloaded the "Awesome" with FH auto-trading robot by SteveHopwood from this location
http://www.forexfactory.com/attachme...9&d=1311460643. Read the corresponding threads also.

I added it to 26 charts and was waiting for it to show action. It did only on USDJPY (long wait).

I noticed that as long as it is in 1 trade it wouldn't take another one because of the way IsTradingAllowed() is looking at if (OrdersTotal() == 0) return(false); Where as if it were looking at Orders from that pair it could take 1 order for each pair

Another thing is that when 1st break out long and then break out short. The stoploss price and takeprofit are exactly the same. It happened 2 times that the stoploss was hit but the other order remained as the spread was unaccounted for.

Hi folks,

I've started posting quite regularly on the SSBO thread. I was just wondering what happened to this one? I got interested in the EA from missing quite a few CZ's which form when I'm working and also from a trade management angle, moving SL's taking pips at set levels etc...

I too am interested for the same reasons. I noticed that many BO's happen in the Asian session, and I am at work during this time. Anybody have an update?
We would completly appreciate it!~

This thread died a death a long time ago.

I would do no further development here anyhow, now that I am branded a Filthy Commercial by the mods here.

You are welcome to find my own forum and see if you can raise any interest there; there are some stunning intellects and fantastically successful traders contributing there. Details on my profile page, although Googling me finds it as well, these days.

I think its a shame that you stopped posting. I don't often post for because its not worth the headache. However FXH has touched a nerve and I would like to post this in retort. If anyone would be interested in exploring this as an EA perhaps we can start a private thread my programming skills are very limited but I will contribute what I can.

Dear FXH,

I am not a troll and have been a member much longer than you. My question is why would you ban a person who posted charts of the trades. Is it that she caught 180 pips while you got 63 on the same trade?

How is it spamming if she asks for settings or help with such? I know you preach learning your technique so that you can do it by sight and not count on a just an indicator. So if that is the case, why is it that you were actively involved in trying to create a robot for this method? Darvas created and calculated his boxes using a piece of paper and pencil, so does that mean any one who wants to trade Darvas boxes should do so as well? If the technology exists it exists to be used.

I question your motives. I asked for conformity and clarity on drawing boxes. In another thread your rules are contradictory to the rules you state here.

For example you state that we should use the mid point of a CZ as a stop loss but in posts in this thread we should not worry abot being stopped out because you can take the break on the other side. That's fine until that break reverses and goes the other way, on a 30 pip box that could be 60 pips on 2 trades.

You continue to mention your algo's and post charts with indicators not shared but that obviousy play a part in your trade choices and they are obviously a part of your decision making process. So are you really sharing the system and trading the system you "perfected" over the last 5 years that has made you "succesful" or are you trading a different system? Why are you not using just the system and techniques that you are so graciously sharing with us? Why do you need "special algo's" and indicators? The system doesn't need them correct? If it doesn't need them why bring them up? What are your motives for constantly posting and mentioning them? Do you plan you offer them commercially? Start a service perhaps?

If one was to go back and look at the other thread thats was started discussing these break outs, you were still working out the kinks a year ago with the help of Sq. At the time you wanted his help programing the indicator and didn't have enough knowledge of programing to know that the limits of Metatrader would allow for the swing pips to be plotted in a different manner. So how is it that you programmed thesecomplicated "algo's"?

You brow beat readers of this thread repeatedly to post. Threatening to close it down untill you finally got banning priviledges. At which point you were over come with joy that they had been earned. Is that what you wanted, to feel powerful? Are you so insecure that a question or challenge of any sort causes you to lash out? Get real sir. You are not the second coming of Darvas. You want an easy way to find a CZ. Look for a double or triple top and a double or triple bottom. It will show you the start of a CZ. If anyone should get praise here it is Sq. He developed the indi making it easy to find trading opps. Asking about the settings helps those who are using the indi. Knowing what settings lead to success may help someone feel more secure in the method. Demo trading is fine except we all know that the markets never behave in the same way twice. Doubt and indecision are a traders worst enemy and can cause a good system to perform horribly. I know, I have blown up my fair share of accounts. Most traders know when to enter and have an idea when to get out. Screen time helps traders develop an instinct for trading. What causes traders to lose money is nerves.

When you start a thread in this forum posting a system or indicator you have a responsibilty to teach the method in a manner that you trade it. You have an obligation to help those that read it or use it, to understand and use it to the best of their abilities. The spirit of the forums is traders helping traders. If someone is not willing to take that resposibilty they should not be teaching. Would you teach some one to drive without using the brakes? Why would you teach someone to trade but make them feel something might be missing that could make it easier or less stressful?
Your thread states clearly "no indicators needed". Naked trading so easy its hard. So here is my question? Whats that indicator on the side of the last charts that you posted? Looks alot like a volume indicator turned sideways to disguise it. I think I saw that in the VSA system thread.

Oh one last thing I doubt very much that you are hitting 95% of your trades. How about linking your account to one of the many verifying services out there so we can all see just how good you really are? Heck if you are that good you can trade for me? I'll turn over the keys now.

One newby question about indicator. In panel is statistics about buys/sells pips. Enters of this trades are third stick outside the CZ. What are exits? There are 9 TP levels in indicator's settings.

Just thought I'd mention that forexhard is a big whiney baby. I dared ask him an actual trading question and pointed out that a lot of his and others trades on his thread looked cherry picked, so he banned me from his thread.

Basically, somehow he magically holds on for the biggest amount of pips after a breakout AND before price reversed back to entrance. I asked how he does this: discrection/based on PA/ or maybe a past consolidation zone.

He took this as an insult instead of an honest question. What I was asking about was the very situations that make box trading a big fail. I asked because no where in his thread are these issues addressed, and they are the very issues that make box trading fail.

I guess he either can't or is too afraid to answer real trading questions. Box trading is nothing new or complicated, the management after entry is what makes it work or not.

P.S. banning people from your thread for asking REAL trading question or because they dare point out that trades look like they are cherry picked is childish. Look up box trading on google and you'll find the exact information, he isn't doing anything new. The only information he could possibly have helped anyone with was the very information I asked about.

P.P.S. If you want to post in forexhard's thread make sure you do a few posts that kiss his ass first, so his ego can be stroked and he can feel he is the master inovater he wants to feel like, then maybe you can ease in with a real trading question and he won't ban you from his thread. Thanks jerk, I wasted two days reading your entire thread, because that is what you requested, and when I ask a REAL trading question you ban me. Just another wanna be guru, with an overly sensetive ego.

Because I said a lot of the trades looked cherry picked, which led me to believe either people were fibbing or only posting their best winners.

In many of his examples he takes the breakout, then somehow decides to take profit and the perfect time before price revereses.

So, I had the gall to ask how he decides to do that.

Honestly, if you are going to post a teaching thread with a method, post ALL the rules and ALL the important instructions in the very first post. Expecting people to read through hundreds of pages, and string them along by telling them you will reveal this and that is just retarded Yoda wanna be nonsense.

His whole threat amounts too: "draw 30 pip box around a consolidation, then take a trade on the break after one candle closes past the break...I am highly profitable with this method, but I refuse to share the important information, like how to decide when to take early profit, where to set TP and when to set to BE...and if you ask I will talk down to you and tell you you are moron for asking, these are magical things you must discover for yourself...even though these are the choices that make box trading work."

He says he generally goes for 25-30 pips SL TP, then he posts trades where he gets 50 pips or more, or even gets just 20 before it completely reverses and goes to his SL. Really if you aren't going to say anything beyond, "enter on the box," consoladation, then he shouldn't have made a, "teaching," thread in the first place.

TP is the most important part of any trading, it's what cancels out your losses and makes you profit. I could do thousands of trades with few losers just by setting a very small TP and high SL, but I'd still be a loser because my profit would be negative.

Ghaaaaaaaaaaaa! I'm so sick of these wanna be guru/yoda types acting like they have something special to share and that they want to help people, but then they just string you along with this, "Here's the main secret, now figure out everything else on your own, AND don't ever ask me ANY logical important questions about the nuts and bolts of my uber method, or I will talk down to you, call you a dumbass, and tell you to read my entire thread again. Oh and make sure you do plenty of ass kissing and tell me how awesome my method is and how ultra special I am...because I'll I'm really concerned about is how popular my thread is, and how many vouches it gets."

......lol, in his response he went on about how many hits his thread gets and how many voches he has. Really? Nobody cares! Any method is crap without knowing when to take profit and producing profitable trades that overshadows your losers.

Responding here to forexhard, since he banned me from posting privaleges on his thread, but sees fit to respond to me.

From his response to me, " Kumo, here is another pic of that last trade. I got out at the arrow with 45p, and I posted a pic of it as it was happening. At that time my indi read "49p". In this pic here it reads "50p".

So, basically he's using and indictor to tell him when to take larger profits. That's fine, all he had to do was say that.

Instead he goes on to say how he's got 10,000 hours of screen time and that helps him. Guess what I've been doing this for going on ten years, with moderate success. I've come back from a year long break, because of illness. forexhard you are not the only one with lots of screen time buddy. And I know from my screen time that your choices about when to take larger profits are HIGHLY influenced by your indicator, because no amount of screen time will ever magically make you decide when to get out at the perfect time.

So, he is full of BS. He doesn't want to share his magical indicator that he developed, fine. But he shouldn't be acting like his sucess is because he is such a master or whatever.

P.S. expect a website from him soon selling his magical indicator for $97-$5K. He's beginning to sound like all the other scam artists that take a simple method that requires judgement and adding something to it they can sell to take the judgement part out of it.

P.P.S. nobody is jealous of you buddy least of all me.

forexhard = wanna be guru who is full of BS.

For the record his stairstep breakout method is nothing more than drawing a 30 pip box around a range and trading a cross of the box, that is it, there is nothing more too it.

Wow this guys has some nerve, he goes on talking about me even after he's banned me from his thread so I can't directly respond to him. What a coward.

Its like the man says:

You read the thread, hopefully you understand.
Next is the hard part, drawing the boxes going back 6 months or more, seeing what happens on the breakouts, how often they fail, which size box is the most reliable, etc etc.
Go do your homework, I did and I am benefiting greatly thereby.
You also have to overcome the guy in your head driven by fear and greed.
Next learn to be patient, wait for the potential good setups then trade with confidence your own written down strategy for your trading.
Plan the trade, trade the plan....

Post hidden because LarryK is on your ignore list.

Part of my job in here is keeping away the troublemakers so that the rest of you guys don't have to worry about who to trust. It makes me unpopular some times, but I really couldn't care less.

Kumo won't hear a thing you're saying, Larry. Before banning Kumo I went into his posting history and read his last 50+ posts to get a good idea of his personality. Just to make sure I wasn't misreading his intentions. I do this with every guy I have banned. They want to think I only ban out of ego or spite, but it's simply not the case. I do plenty of research first. Anyway, this guy Kumo is a classic troll. I couldn't find more than a couple of his most recent posts that weren't trying to stir the pot. And in some posts he goes on about how much experience he has, and then in another he asks how do you locate an FX br0ker that offers Gold and Silver. Really? That's like asking for help finding a br0ker that offers MT4. This is how an experienced trader talks? I mean, WTF? It's a classic scenario: If those guys spent the same time studying that they do complaining and trolling, they would actually have a working system that pays them back massive dividends. And that's giving them the benefit of the doubt that they're not just br0ker moles in the first place (which most are).

Demo trade:

1. Placed sellstop and buystop on both side on CZ.
2. Sell stop was triggered, attached awesome EA (modified to trigger only after open order found) with TP:SL of 35:70 (39 pips was the first labelled TP)
3. Close buystop manually (could have left it alone on second thoughts)
4. Price reversed, triggered awesome EA's buystop and went up higher to reach TP on reverse side (maximum martingale of x6) of maximum tp of 35

This shows that that Steve's awesome EA would work very well with CZs triggers from Squalou's indicator - great...

Well... it doesn't really matter, does it? What really counts is if a method can be applied successfully, not if it's as complex as a PhD thesis in quantum physics. To me, the simpler it is, the better. The ability to draw a box highlighting a consolidation area is nothing per se. It's the patience to wait for the breakout, for the major movement in one direction, and the flexibility to follow it no matter if it's up or down, that make this method interesting and worth trying. For me.
