Guys im experimenting with an EMA i got from the daily thread of by Britpip7.

On my 4H TF i added a 200 EMA shift 0.
I noticed that when PA break through the 60EMA then it goes to the 200 EMA. Look at my chart below and see what the E/U is doing.
So like this i can use the 60EMA and 200EMA for entries.
Notice that green line on the TDI had 2 bounces on the red line.
The TDI is high in the 68 zone. At the same time touching the 200EMA

Its not official yet im still experimenting

i will look at the candles some more, but i was talking about this post for the red vertical lines. I am trying to get better at tp and sl incase i experience screwy days like this week.

Is this what most of your comments are based on (post 2923)

Hale mary are you talking about this chart?
The first vertical line i mentioned before that i wont take that trade as the candle has a long tail, i would sit out.
The second vertical line i would go long
Then when i see the next candle which is your 3rd vertical line i would exit as the candle shows me that its going in the other direction and if i took the third vertical line as short i would get stopped out.
So overall that wont be a good trading day.

Your second and third trades are correct
The first trade wont be correct

I want to know did you go long or short on your second vertical line?

Yes this is the chart. When price went below the hesistation area went short as it did not want to break the high.

But when the candle closed I went long as it was a pullback.

I also took a EU short, but waited for it to break the range and have tdi confirmation

Long on AUDCAD. PA bounced from SMA and TDI was returning from outside blue band. TP is top of SHI Channel.

Once entered according to X-Man rules, I like to monitor the trade on the 1 H TF. In that case, up trend line just broke so I decided to exit.

Closed for +31 pips. With initial stop loss of 28p, a bit more than 1:1... not to bad...!

Hey X-Man, when is the right tf to use 60EMA and 200EMA?

And the our TDI is also slightly different..

Another one, with the H4 tf, this is the best time to short E/U. But how should we juggle the info with the 24th January meeting? Or usually the position wont last this long??

X-Man,
Just wanted to say thanks for starting this thread. Been lurking for about a month. Thought I would share my trade that I took today. Since this weeks trading has been somewhat difficult I entered the trade on the break of the support of the previous day. With the confirmation of the TDI for a total of 40 PIPs.

Again thanks for starting a great thread and taking the time to maintain it.

While backtesting, im thinking that where i should place my verticle lines should be apated to count of daylight saving times, anybody have an idea to get around this?
Also is there a way for an indicator to automatically plot these verticle lines everyday, i have tried the only indicator i could find on this thread but it doesnt seem to work.
Much appreciated, rob

This week has trended up but it has been choppy and lots of movement in the Asian session which I seldom trade. I did get in a good Asian trade on Tuesday, as explained in a previous post. Other than that day, nothing to write home about. It is very difficult to trade candles that have wicks at both ends....lots of fake outs. Maybe next week will be better.

I suppose you refer to USDCHF... PA is bouncing from a rising daily channel.... So this is a good set up for me. My TP will be the 60 SMA.
