It seems I'm not the only one having an issue with latency. Ever since MB Trading went off-line due to a malfunctioning switching unit a few weeks back, the execution of trades have been ever-so-slowly. It can take up to 30 seconds to execute a trade - this is not during peak trading sessions! I have to conclude that their networking infrastructure is below par and is soon to fail again. I know it's not a bandwidth problem on my end, I've been trading other platforms with different brokers and they execute trades at lightning fast speed; during peak hours. I will be closing my account and moving my business to Fastbrokers; their Pathfinder platform, tight spreads and fast executions are far superior to MB Trading. It's a shame too, I've always like MB Trading. However, I'm not in this to lose money due to poor executions from my broker. Good-bye, MB Trading.

Which environment (live or demo, Free EXN or Pay for Limits, or Desktop)
What’s your account number
Some order IDs

We are aware that certain trades have a reporting back issue, meaning that we receive your request and the execution is instant, but time passes before you see the display of the confirmation. This is not affecting all accounts, so we need as much information as possible to pin it down. It should not be causing execution price problems. I just ran several trades in two environments myself and experienced no issues, so this is not system wide, which means we need as much information from you as possible to pin it down. Please do not post any order IDs or account numbers on a public forum.

Hello ILove, I had the "same"problem like you. I could not close my order, or change sl tp, etc. In my case was, I put a max lot that MBt allow me according my account, (3.0 specifically), so that market went against me(no problem, I assume the risk), so I tried close my order, but for my surprise I couldnt do that. So I saw that Margin Call was wrong(2244% - exposing all my equity), but the system did understand that I hit Margin Call(with reason) and not allowed me to do orders, on this case I wanted to close the buy order(selling). So check if your EA, or your order are extrapoling you power buy, manually, dont trust in MT4 numbers. :s

Hi astom,

Many thanks for your information. However, I had different situation. My free margin was about 2 times more than the margin used, and the market moved again me only a few pips, actually at some points, I was in small profit but still unable to modify or close.

The Off quotes error often occurs when there is no sufficient fund but yesterday it wasn't the case.
If you can't tell, just wait. The market will.

Hi Justin,

I PMed you the information your requested.

Just about 20 minutes ago, My EA sent a sell order of EUR/USD around 1.27300 (brave, I know when EUR was rising) but because it was not confirmed until 17 seconds later, my EA send anothe one and then another one....... Glad I was watching a film and heard the alert, or I would have gone bust. I manually stopped the EA and closed two duplicate orders with losses. (please see last 3 orders on my accout)

This really holds me off. I would appreciate it if you could investigate asap.

Why does MBT has only bank wire as a funding option?
And if I open Pay for limits acc will i be able to trade on MT4 and MBT Desktop from the same account?

did they change, that had credit/debit card and check funding options as well.

Anyone else having issues modifying orders or just placing them? It takes 30-40 seconds to process the data.

i just placed, modified and afterwards canceled a limit order on a real account using desktop pro, i had no delays.
I'm not insane; my mother had me tested.

I use MT4, still lagging as hell. Can't exit, open positions or take profit, unless I wait 20-40 seconds and since I can open one order window at once, I can't close all my positions at the exit points.

delays in order entry and modifications.

It's been like that for a few weeks and they have yet to resolve this issue. It's only affecting specific regions according to the posts, but come on, if their IT specialists can't figure it out then deuces. I pulled out of MB, hope it gets better for you

Considering similar action of bailing MBT mt4

Just went in to cancel orders ... even then also laggy.

Yup been silent for weeks on this .... but there's a limit

When issues with orders rears its head ... it undermines confidence in the platform. MT4 in this case

Sorry for delay, EURUSD, it's the only one I track. In the end, I'm going to write my own tick recorder. I have the API and did so for stocks a while back, just need to get busy and do it. Have a demo acct ready. In the end, it would be nice to have the ability to trade tick archives if anything happens. Feel free to contact me if anyone is interested but note this is a TWO-WAY street, I will not just provide tick files to every request, as I will need files if anything happens to my software.

Really can't understand why you people still use MT4! It's the worst software ever seen, why don't use MultiChart for your automated strategies? No buggy or laggy order at all, in my experience instantaneous order immission (immission not filling off course!) and deleting too.

Give it a try!

Many thanks Justin. I can confirm that execution and report-back time of my last two orders (after 17:00 roll-over) were normal without any noticeable delay.
If you can't tell, just wait. The market will.
