Hi to all and particurlarly to Xman....!

I'm following this thread for 2 days and currently going through it. I appreciate especifically the swing strategy mainly for its simplicity so this morning I gave it a try on the following pairs:

EURCAD: sell based on 60 SMA bounce and TDI outside blue bands. TP is bottom of the daily channel...
AUDCHF: same that eurcad but on the buy side.
GBPCHF: double bottom (although outside of the daily channel) and TDI in extreme sell down.

Currently all positions are in positive territory.....!!

I've a doubt regarding the TP for GBPCHF. I don't know if I should close the position at 60 SMA or top of the channel. XMAN, your input would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks for sharing this simple and profitable system.....!

A lot of traders struggle with setting TP so i would recommend that you lock in half the profits at 1:1 and the other half you allow it to run and lock it at 1:2 or more depends how strong the trend is

Is this typical of the EU to have an agressive move in one direction if it has not moved its normal daily range the entire week?

One of the signs of an end to downtrend will be when bad news like this doesn't take it down. Still wondering if we are headed to 1.19 area.

Hi XMan!
You are right when you say that a lot of traders struggle when setting TP. This is clearly my case.... I was reviewing your EJ trade and wondering why you aim only for 1:1. EJ is clearly in downdrend, having bounced several times from SMA.

Would I have entered that trade I would be looking for TP at mid daily channel line. Price has recently slightly exceeded daily channel top line. Is this the reason why you are more cautious on that one....?

Thanks again for your inputs.....!

So london is starting to make some sense but NY seems difficult to trade the pullback/reversal if the price has already moved in london open session.

X-man what do you look for or how do you trade NY if you already scored your pips in london open session. Senior members feel free to advise as well.

Well if the london session was trending in one direction then i would look for a reversal because most of the time within the london hours and the first the high and the low is formed.
So if a high was formed during the London then i would expect PA to reverse to form the low.
This is however not always the case. There will also be a continuation where PA will just continue to rise or fall from the start of the London session. In this case if i do not see a clear signal i would skip the second session.
I would also skip the second session when i am content with what i made during the first session.
If i made enough pips during the first session then in the second session i would only look for A+ trades

Is it safe to assume USD/CHF has a pullback candle ? Coz I remember people here say to have pullback candle, it has to be in a trend. The market is still early to have any trend right now, so having doubts.. =/

That is exactly what i am talking about. Is there something you look at that would give you a clue about a continuation in during the NY session even with the pullback candles or another signal you use. (not looking for 100% accuracy if that is your impression, just looking to get better) I will try to find an example of what I am talking about. By the way is the compliation still a working progress. No rush.
