heres the updated dow chart with the fib bar coutns - mandelbrot set fractal time counts


guess where these points line up to.

yep - that 11 day mark. ill be watching carefully for that day.

Mine doesn't necessarily mean buy as much as it means just wait and see. Price could drop into the line and break through the trend line. Or drop in to the time line and then crash in to the trend line and collapse. Price could break through the trend line tomorrow and then drop in to the time line using the trend line as support. There's quite a few possibilities. But the main thing for me right now is that price is at a resistance. Not support. So no long signal there until price can break it.

Look at the previous aqua line. Price was relatively flat going in to the time line until the before it hit and price launched like a rocket. Or 2 aqua lines ago when price looked like it was dropping in to the line when it reversed hard and rose for 2 days in to the line. Jumping the gun can get you shot.

Time AND Price. Another guy says Price, Time,and Pattern. Which is better. You just need to have an arsenal of patterns for the different tools and you're set.

of course. of course. no doubt but its just annoying me the dow is to over valued i just wanna short it like the time it dropped last time lol..

but whatever time provides us and what price does at that time - we should act accordingly.

but the mandelbrot set has been kind to me on gold take a look

it was a symetrical triangle and uptrend and its a hourly trade -

all i needed was bottom of the triangle and 34 fib bar count and the magic s3 ive been raping with for only a day lol

gold is funny quoting but its i think 100 pips profit but its little for gold. but the value profit in $ is not bad.

A Mandelbrot sequence is an infinite sequence of numbers:
s0, s1, s2, s3, …

sN+1 = sN2 + s

Example: s = 1
s1 = 12 + 1 = 2
s2 = 22 + 1 = 5
s3 = 52 + 1 = 26

Do you have the Mandelbrot market book? He wrote one. I've got a few videos on fractal geometry and the Mandelbrot set in particular. One of them is a new agee computer thing. Pretty trippy. I haven't read the book or applied the concepts directly.

no i havent. its probably complicated yes? i mean fractals are a dimension in tis own. but i have anotehr concept later im willing to test : the sierpinski triangle. from 1 triangle to 4 - to 9... etc.. there must be a ratio or a formula...

ive seen those fractal geometry vids where they use like maya for designing it like the metatron's cube and stuff

JR any opinions on trailing stops vs profit stop losses?

i feel the need to ride a big trend here but also minimize risk exposure WIHT the capability of maximum profit potential capabilities available at hand...
opinions?

anyways im going short aussie to hedge the euro longs
DESPITe my daily aussie tells me to long.

since its a hedge i wont use a stop on this one.
unless it clears the square 's range or the resistance we have here.

this looks like a darn well setup nonetheless

green lines indicate fib bar counts - blue indicates mandelbobos count


i also mix fib ratios with time cycles and the inital values im sure i posted that somewheeere... the planetary thread i think
anyways chart is here.. price now above 1x1 line therefore im taking a retrace and will TP at 1x1 line whcih possibly will hold price.

aussie in +18 atm.
will take profits in 4hours.
if price also goes to 1x1...

eur4h atr is at 48 pips and if it drops there from now its perfect to the fanline

aussie 4h atr at 88 pips.. ill TP somewhere at the median of that maybe 50 or 40..

aussie turned out to be a BE (i put a BE stop after 18+ profit) due to a hedge and i dont wanna risk much just coz of a darn hedge.



for a REAL trade now heres crude - (no hedging b/s LOL)


wonder if JR got some trades on his end on this quiet day

I caught the high on EU and GU at the London open. Took small profits when they retraced further than I anticipated. Took some losses looking for follow through to the short side that didn't come. Had a couple of smaller winners catching the US open high. Overall, I think I ended up near b/e or maybe in the red.

the oil results so far - i got 2 squares.. thinking of closing some here

and letting the rest run to 2nd square levels


my actual target on 1st square is right now which is the 1x1 - on the 2nd chart thoguh its not reached yet . and the 1x1 on the 2nd chart has a trendline of PA passign through it for some time

I took the individual components of the Dow cycles and created a couple of composites. The red plot is a zig zag with every series being in the same phase. The green plot puts one of the cycles in opposite phase. Between the two, quite a few of the major turns are picked up. The overall phase does invert so Inverted the plots in the 2nd chart.
