I simply click the TP box and type my TP in pips.

Does it not allow you to do that?

this is what i do

and it works for cfd but not for eur/usd

one has to scroll(very slowly this is idiotic)

so currency scalping becomes frustrating

That's odd, I'm using the latest version of Google Chrome browser and it works fine for me - perhaps try that.

Probably because there is a new CEO and they will bring out Metatrader beginning next year

Here is some info I got from LMAX team regarding Metatrader 4 -

"The conditions for MT4 will be the same as on our LMAX trading platform in relation to the variable spreads and commission. Although customers don’t get slipped on their orders, sometimes, due to not all price being available on the order book your set price may not be achieved.
In that instance the next best price closest to your position will be filled at market. At the moment we do have a bridge to connect MT4 brokers to our liquidity; however a white label to download the software will be made available in the first quarter of 2012."

What do you expect? A no-slippage guarantee on market and stop orders?

The depth on the order book is not as deep as other STP brokers, such as Interactive and Duka to name two, but there are many other advantages and it is certainly superior to other foreign brokers I've tried when it comes to execution and stability, cost and security, deposit requirements and funding ease. If you use MT4 you're probably going to lose some of these benefits though as the MT4 platform is a toy.

100% Agreed, LMAX is a great choice but their web platform is really too basic. I tried their multicharts but the chart spikes drove me nuts. I recently discovered that Fastbrokers.com offers trading on LMAX through their Pathfinder Trader platform. Have a look here.

I think this the best combination platform/execution I could have found. I love their charting and I wont miss MT4 or any other platform.

Whereas a 'typical' American product would be shouty, over-promise and under-deliver?

Multicharts has apparently added LMax now to the supported broker list, so you can connect with an existing permanent MC license w/o paying lmax. Not sure if you need to qualify for lmax api access for that tho. Probably yes.

Thanx Shrike. I wonder if free version can be used? But, as you say, the api minimums will apply anyway I would think.

They still have lots of messed up historic charts, especially in testapi, but also on production. I wouldn't bother with it, and use other charts instead. In my opinion they should stop to provide historic chart data until they get a good quality product out, or atleast only put it on a beta environment only.

On a positive note, they did update the web trading gui with bid/offer-sweep functionality which i find really useful.
