Thank you to Intrepidpips and LazyLobster for sharing those pdf files on price action, etc.

Great study materials for newbies struggling with S3 method and being often times troubled with TDI crossing, bounced, etc. and also in trading with different timeframes.

S3 is another version of TMS and X-man made it simpler for EURUSD and with those rules he defined, one also need X-man's type of discipline to trade and be profitable. Newbies who have not yet master the discipline should stick to the H1 timeframe and follow closely the Euro/London session only. There is reason for this as I learned is - liquidity and volatility being a few reasons for the moves. First you learn and master this S3 H1 for EURUSD method. Don't jump around from system and system and from TF to TF after a few trades.

There are a lot of helpful traders with experience and are willing to share and help you. But you need to post your trades with charts and ask questions.

Good Trading!

Here it goes... I would like to thank the people that came up with the stuff that I am copying onto this thread, but unfortunately, I cant remember all the places I have been lurking and learning so please forgive mehttp://www.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon7.gif. I do know for a fact that I owe Vantage a big thanks because there's lots of good stuff on his threads. Vonage as well. Reversal Patterns PDF comes from Britpip on his TMS daily timeframe thread. If anyone recognizes their stuff, I would like to thank them as well. If anyone...

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the pdf files.
1-2-3 pattern i learnt from dean malone but have not been able to apply it well with fibonacci. glad to see its working for u.

By the way, the file for 3 powerful forex patterns are damaged and cannot be opened.

Entered long on aud/usd and short on usd/cad 1/2 an hr ago. +10pips currently from both. any1 with me?

To all: Keep learning from every1, find ur own style and many more pips to all in 2012.

Hi,
Attached indicator for Synergy_APB(2) in a separate window and not on your chart data. For those who like to watch the price action of candlesticks and also keep an eye on Synergy bars.
Note: You must have X-Man version of Synergy_APB(2) in post#1 already in your mt4/expert/indicator/...folder for this to work.
Reason is that this indicator will do a i-Custom call to the original Synergy_APB(2) and plot the bars in a separate indictors window.

Also, not that this indicator is MTF, which means you can set the TF to H4 (240) but you chart reamins in H1.

For those using charts with black background, please goto this indicator properties and make change to the colour setting. You simply switch white to black or vice versa.

Any problem, just yell here for a fix.

Enjoy!

Here's hoping for some green pips today. Thanks to you all, especially X Man for your excellent advice in this thread.

Here's my trade for this morning. Short at the opening of the 8am GMT (9am broker time) bar. SL above the last high.

Thoughts / guidance most welcome.

These are the same trades That I am finishing up right now and they demonstrate what I am trying to say in my previous posts by seeing the Price Action. Caution, I am showing just candle bodies template to help shed light on how to see the same patterns on standard s3 system using synergy bars! Still in trades so have to go.

Very nice and good explanation LL.
But M15 may be difficult for newbies to react like you.
On H1 TF now at GMT0900 canldle, it looks like a doji bar close previous and if follow by a bullish candle, this would signify a bullish follow through. But with such a long bullish canldle, entry price mys not be attractive. So I wait for a small price pullback on next candle i.e. GMT1000.

TDI on H4 is still showing upwards.
TDI on H1 is in conflict...

Anyone with other views?

Hi,
SuperNoobie,
when you trade H1 TF and if you reconcile with H4, you could have avoidd these two trades and waited.
It is about multi-timeframe trading and going with the higher TF 'trend'.
I hate to mention trend because many traders have different views how to define trend, etc.
Different Tf, different trend, different range, ...etc.

Hello everyone,

this thread is really a must for newbies and profs. You can build up your own strategie and charting with different indis according your trading style.. So i I did after met 2 days ago with X-Man
After amazing trend catch from yesterday on 4 pairs +250 pips, today I am in 2 hours in 4 pairs 120 pips + yesterday in total 370 pips. Read carefull and use it with my other indis together. I want to see my bad trades now and try to catch the overall average.. However if you are travelling inside the channel and if you are top bottom of the channel and have a direction moving deep inside the channel then you are %80 on the right way, you can flexible put a high TP with small SL.. Now I consider how to handle the mid channel,.. I use the 4H candle move, its giving a good view over the chart..But I am not finish with the setups to trade live. This style of trade needs a one month of trade experience to see your bad decisions and good positions.. And you can not try to trade always, you have to be patient for the best possible enter..To be more precise, I will run this with other trend catch materials cause catching 100 pips on one pair is something you will love forever)

Emanuel:

I agree, you have to be quick and sure about what you are doing on the 15 minute. When I show my charts or tell people that I am trading the 15M I am not trying to get them to change to that timeframe. Rather trying to demonstrate price action and how to spot it as some folks are having trouble seeing it. I also wanted to avoid confusion when people inevitably asked why they couldn't see the same setup on their charts. Price action happens on all timeframes (you know this I'm sure). And that is what I am trying to show in real time on my screenshots. Newbies: Stay on 1HR and perfect your method.

Thanks.. I'll try to keep it in mind. My TP wasn't that high, so didn't expect to reverse that fast too.

LazyLobster

Yeah I'm trying to stay with 1 hr. But the graphs are a bit messy today.

I also went short on the London open. Price was breaking st resistance at 1.2965 ish off the pullback candle. Was not able to stay in front of the puter so set at tp just above the next area of resistance around 1.2940. Missed it by 2 pips and got killed on the reversal. Had in been here to monitor the trade would have made a nice 15-20 pips.

Hi
See attached chart on this update.
What I see is that H4 will close an Bullish Outside Bar (BUOB) and also is a 'spinning top'.
Trading this setup is not easy.
Bullish bias traders will take trade inside the range of this BUOB. S3 signal is in favour.

Low timframe scalpers (5M) can take some pips within the BUOB range which is about 67pips.

Hi, nice template there merging between 4h and 1h chart.

eu/usd today is kind of volatile. though its slightly uptrend bias.
usd/chf (downstrend bias) and gpb/usd (uptrend bias) is having the same volatiliity.

im using the 4h charts and seeing some long dojis on some charts, glad i moved to 4h to reduce ''noise'' and still staying in the trades for usd/cad (short, current +20pips) and long aud/usd (current +20pips) since i posted about entering 7 plus hrs ago.

+132 pips with H4 method on AU:

my reasons for entry:

  1. TDI line crossed back into blue band
  2. synergy color change
  3. pullback candle
  4. confirmed by 4EMA / 60EMA cross
  5. confirmed by TDI cross

SL was below the swing low, TP was SL*2, TS 10 pips below last candle.

Hi gms,

Great trade!
This shows that S3 is system which can be traded for different ccy pairs and TF once we have internalised the technical setups and have consistent discipline to trade the system.
Thanks for sharing.
