Whats everyones feeling on the current status, a short reversal bar with TDI looking as if its about to cross down. Im thinking of entry upon the open of next candle (13:00 GMT) short.
All signals seem to be there, or am i missing something? Only asking as i would have expected to see a couple of others post about this by now.
Rob.

Oh, for goodness sake. Love y'all but I need to go back down to the shorter time frames where I could have had 20 & out. I don't have the temperament to wait for these hourly candles to dither around.

Forexsaurus:

I remember that X-Man mentioned that today was usually his worst day statistically. Had I been to the market on time, I would have easily reached my goal on the 15M timeframe of 50 pips. Just scalped myself 12 pips a moment ago, but I still think this system is great. Try tommorrow, it will probably be busier.

Do you mean Monday or January 9th? I thought he had only been trading a year or so.

Lots of people have the experience that they make most of their pips Tues - Thurs. Often Mon's can be volatile and the name freaky Fri came from somewhere??

X-Man, how do you enter on a day like today without any pullback signal during Frankfurt/London open? Or do you just stay away?

(I missed the breakout during Frankfurt, entered late and was stopped out BE+1 three times today ....)

Vonage already addressed, but yes X-Man once said in one post that I can remember that said he did worst on mondays. Not enough liquidity, but Vonage actually has the right of it.. So many traders say they stay out these first times of the week. Personally on the 15 min timeframes, Mondays are really kind to me. One of the easiest most often. Unfortunately, I used fundamentals with the expectation that there's no way the Euro could keep going up, so when I showed up late for the party I had to quickly scalp a dumb 12 pips and pretty much called it a session. Then a head and shoulders showed up and I got excited and took another twenty pips quickly, then market started the grinding chop. I am out for the day...

Dutch: I am on live account and I think you should keep demo account till you are absolutely sure you are making the profits you want. Develope you skill. As for the MM Even if you loosened up a little bit I think you would have better results. It looks like you are aware of the problem (which is great, that's half the battle, perhaps someone else will post an idea more to your liking. ;0)

Pete:
What would you like to see? My small scalps? Very unimpressive to be honest, but if you are interested in the method I am executing (15M timeframe), you should look up Phx62 and check out his posts. His charts and explainations are best, I am emulating his stuff. I only post charts when when I think it will add to the thread, but if you would like to see something specific, would be glad to show on thread or PM you. Just PM me with questions, be happy to help. Good luck everyone.

I am pretty sure that X-Man's 1H is only for the Eur/Usd; 4H can be any pair although I personally don't trade the crosses very often.

Uhm, I know that feeling...

For me personally the biggest change was stop trading couple systems in one time. I have multiple screens and I just set on first 1 minute TF, on second 5 minute, on another 1 hour. I started to watch the price only, started paying attention when price break S/R and which is very important= do not overtrade!. This thread was a real blessing for me, cause as some1 mention, TDI gives u a head up where u can expect a trade. I"ve learned a lot thx X-man, and tips from Phx62 was really helpfull (big thx Man). Still learning but I feel much more confident over last weeks and another days comes with pleasure, not must.

Today was a bit rough day, I catch 50pips in the morning in nice up-trend, but later price was jumping up/down with fake pullbars. I'm trying to close my trades pretty fast, when I see that is propably fake. End of the day with only 20pips in profit, but its ok for me. Waiting for another day.

correct me if i am wrong, but for me x-man's system seems to be an expansion of the tms. Anyways, I do pay attention to the S/R breaks but not sure how to determine if one is valid. (I know about the typical london open fakeys). For me PA is a bit mysterious since I dont know what people mean when they say PA said this and that. I am just looking at the bars trying to figure out what to do (TMS wise/this system)

Yes it is. I've read original TMS thread, but honestly didn't trade it at all. I've noticed that X-man paying most attention to pullbars (which work majority times), and Phx62 is taking more signals, paying attention to TDI cross and breaking S/R. I think the only way to understand PA more, is backtest as much as u can, and a lot of screen time to just watch how PA reacts from London open to london close. It can be painfull to sit and watch PA for 10 hours, but Im sure it pays back. Good thing also is read this thread over and over, watch screens posted by X-man/Phx62, make some notes.

i had a gr8 time today studying an e-book on price action and price patterns.
What i did was split my screen in two, display my platform charts in one half and the e-book in the other half so i could actually see the examples on my charts (like a back test) and it was quite rewarding.
Just tot i'd share, you may learn from it enjoy!

Attachment 871986Hale-Mary:

This won't help with pullback bars, but it might help in other instances.... Below I have loaded two charts. One with a somewhat standard screen for S3 and the other one I have been using for a bit that just shows standard candlesticks with no wicks. I will also upload a couple of other things I have found useful for PA. Perhaps some of it may ring with you. The idea is I have both these charts side by side. With a firm grasp that all I am looking for is patterns and what is going to happen next, by what has happened in the past. The chart without and wicks tells me exactly where price has opened and closed and looks closer to many of the Price Action patterns that you are probably familiar with. In these pictures, if you look at standard S3 you might not see the head and shoulders pattern that is as clear as day in the second. This might be your problem with PA. You might not see the patterns as clearly. I will also upload another post soon with the other useful stuff I have found.

Here it goes... I would like to thank the people that came up with the stuff that I am copying onto this thread, but unfortunately, I cant remember all the places I have been lurking and learning so please forgive mehttp://www.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon7.gif. I do know for a fact that I owe Vantage a big thanks because there's lots of good stuff on his threads. Vonage as well. Reversal Patterns PDF comes from Britpip on his TMS daily timeframe thread. If anyone recognizes their stuff, I would like to thank them as well. If anyone wants me to remove anything please PM me and I will do so. Hope this helps folks as all this has to do with Price Action and Hence this thread.
