i actually had a pending trade which was toally ignored and then when i trade entering market orders kept recing "off quotes" message. never ever seen that before. and my trade which should have triggerd, also went on past my take profit. all the while the trade remained in bottom of navigator window, with the price highlighted yellow like it aw==was a trailing stiop. live chat told me to email gomarkets, and while doing that, the trade mysteriously vanished from my screen!

Next time take a screen shot & a video immediately. This is my advice don't hesitate to record your tradings. Brokers will always deny problems.

Which pair by the way?

Watch out fellow traders!

GO got reported on forums to have ignored SL and TP today.

I myself couldn't close positions manually, ongoing order rejections.

Have never seen something like this in 9 years forex trading! Not even on the worst bucketshops!

Hi

Where am I, I was in bed guys, just in now 7.30am in Melbourne.

Spoken to our Dutch office and the was an issue with trades flowing through to our LP. Send any affected trades through to [email protected] and we will fix them up.

Onu, do you look at the look up each day to check that the sky is not falling? In the IT world there is no such thing as 100% uptime, as mentioned send the trades through and we will honour SL/TP's and clients that tried to close trades. Please chill out a little, the world did not end.

Trumpcard, fx13 and Fxking just email trades affected through they will be fixed.

Cheers,
Joel

Hi Joel,

Looking at correlation across markets, I have seen many benefits of having data feeds of SPX, DAX, SGX and WTI available. Is there any likelihood that Go will provide a data feed for these in the future?

Thanks
Josh

My trades have all been fine recently with Go Markets.
Execution was fine during NFP, whilst others I know were having the typical platform freezing type issues with other brokers..

I seriously don't see what all the bitching is about. Instead of expecting infallible service from Go Markets, and then bitching about them here when a small hiccup occurs, maybe just contact them privately via email? The same way any normal person would..

I have no doubt these issues occur all the time. Welcome to the wonderful world of technology..

This is the sort of crap that made me hesitant toward choosing a forex broker as a new trader.. Everywhere, every broker was getting hammered in one way or another. Although I drew the conclusion that disgruntled traders were taking out their bad trading decisions on their broker..

Hi Joel,

I would love to pm you this instead but there isnt a pm button on your profile.

Anyways, is there a possibility that gomarkets could go back to its previous LP(period before oct 2011)?

i'm sure the people at gomarkets and all of us here miss those crazy low 1.3 spreads and almost zero slippage.

Cheers

Do you want a medal or something? If you were serious and beyond being a normal retail trader, you probably wouldn't be using any Metatrader based platforms to begin with.

No, you don't have to kiss your broker's arse, but the masochistic morons who continue to trade with GO Markets and continue to whine and whine about issues should have left a long time ago. They've had their chance to whine, why stick with GO Markets and then continue to sit on here bitching? That's a pretty typical attitude a consumer has. If they don't like something,...

Sounds like a pretty ridiculous attitude, SYNeR. The point of complaining here is to hold brokers accountable by sharing information with other retail traders (and Go Market's potential business).

I can see issues arising if people are dishonest, or simply bad mouthing brokers because they made losing trades. Telling consumers to keep their complaints to themselves smells fishy, though. Who do you work for? This is how we can help each other out. It also gives Go Markets a chance to defend themselves in a public forum.

Personally, I have had a fairly reasonable experience with Go Markets thus far. I am happy and will stick around (still knowing that this is a shady industry).

Even with the best possible business practices, counter parties and liquidity providers can screw OTC traders. This is not specific to Go Markets. I do not believe there is a broker in the world that won't have issues of some kind.

I stick around knowing the risks. I know that our financial system is a ponzi scam - moreover, derivatives markets may be the best example. But if my broker (any broker) has a glitch or issue that somehow leads me to lose money in a way can be deemed inappropriate, I think one is much better off addressing the issue publicly if the broker is unable to resolve the issue quietly.

At the same time, I do not believe there is a conspiracy to defraud customers at Go Markets. People like Joel Murphy wouldn't put their name on a company (he even has a LinkedIn profile listing Go as his employer), knowing of such issues.

Perhaps my trust in humanity is my weakness and downfall. I prefer being cautious and aware, but think Go Markets is as good as any other broker I've dealt with.

That said, Forex Factory is an excellent place for retail traders to share notes. If there is a problem, it is much more likely that Go Markets will address it quickly if people discuss it openly here on the world wide web. No?

If you bothered to read what I wrote properly, I noted that generally people make a valid criticism. But it seem here people continue to stay with GO Markets and then making the same (often inane) criticisms over and over. Why the masochistic behaviour?

Yes.. And this is exactly what I said. However, I pointed out how in this thread, the opposite seems true.. Even to the point where people have just spouted nonsense, only to realise THEY were in the wrong / being stupid.

I'm a rather skeptical and cynical person and understand the need for business to be help accountable for their actions, but some of the posts here are little more than jabs from what seems to be rather bored, pedantic users with nothing better to do with their time.

Hi Joel,

My sentiment too. Looking at the spreads this morning compared to 3 other ASIC licenced brokers, Go's were the widest on the GBPUSD and EURUSD. It would be good if we could return to the tight spreads and no slippage (gappage) of pre-October.

Thanks
Josh

PS As I was typing this your quotes became fairly competitive...

Watch out - flame war.

Rather than making ad hominem attacks, maybe focus on specifics.

If there is an individual (bored, pedantic, or whatever insult you have) who has made repeated and unreasonable whiny complaints, then it is best that you are specific about who it is and what was said.

Then - perhaps you can have a pm discussion with that user to sort out your differences.

Insulting others in such a general way makes you come across as someone who has an axe to grind.

Let's be civil adults here. Perhaps we can agree to disagree.

Please feel free to have the last word. Any more insults?
