Hi anyone compare chart between Pepperstone Razor with other ECN broker. I found something wrong in their chart and their price quotes. Anyone found difference plz discuss here...

Compare to other broker chart candle open is vary and atleast 10 pips difference i found.

You've contributed nothing of substance.

Please post an example chart of Pepperstone and whatever other broker you use that shows the price difference. Like a screenshot.

I'll be up front, there's NO way Pepperstone could provide liquidity that's 10 pips off on the inside quote from another ECN... the liquidity providers Pepperstone clears with (or the other ECN's) would be arb'd to death (see broker arbitrage.)

Also...

In reviewing pepperstone's EUR/USD prices between 3 different brokers just now, going over the last few days of data, I see no irregular ticks to the tune of 10 pips as you claim.

You can't see or predict with your naked eyes. I will post the SS soon.

make sure your comparing similar times, for example, H4 on GMT will look different to H4 on GMT+2, same with daily charts...

Herewith i attached the SS of 2 borkers with TF 4 Hrs. My aim is not to degrade a broker but i want to know what is going on with their price feed. As you said i am not able to find same GMT ECN broker but same AUS broker from same country Synergy and Pepperstone. See the SS and discuss what is going on. The SS taken with 8.21 and 8.24 AM you can refer my desktop clock in the SS. I added a Trend Line into the chart as a divider to see the difference in upperside and lower side of a chart.

Here's a hint, check the server time difference between both brokers and take a guess what hour each starts a 4 hour chart on.


There's no difference, just a shifted time frame.


(look at a 1 minute chart for example, there won't be a difference in bars... but when one broker lists their day starting at a given timezone, and another quotes prices by server date in an alternate timezone.. your 4 hour and daily charts won't match up exactly.)

Exactly what I was thinking, Jack! because most time frames are same, hey 1 hour is 1 hour anywhere in the trading world, but 4 hours will be different

And be sure to use a Candle Timer to show us if you have further problems, but I think this thread is DEAD

Do you think 1000 pips down in one pair won't affect other broker? Ok i ask you one question based on Synegry 4H TF may i go short in Pepperstone? Does it works? Because the I think it will work.

Any one having chart of different ECN broker compare to Pepperstone plz post.

This thread was DEAD from the start...

Firstly, it should have been in the pepperstone thread...

Secondly, basic logic debunks the OP's statement before we even had to look at his shifted timezone charts.


I wish a mod would close it already.

You don't get it...

They will both quote the same price range at the same time.

There is NO difference in price.

Now i got it. Because I am using one EA with 4Hr TF gain in Synergy and loss in Pepperstone. I think i sould tune the EA to 1HR. Then it will workout. 4HR TF mislead a trade decision. What do you think?

YES.. because one broker's server time makes MT4 paint a 4 hour chart differently...

But, if you ever are in doubt, just look at t he inside quote you see from both brokers at the same time, they will always be the same price (or within each other's spread)

I think the market is always changing, what works today will not work tomorrow.

Different EA's are vigorously tested on the appropriate time frame; use the recommended settings.

Google for "donna forex" for much more information on running & trading with EA's / robots.

Looks like you got a lot to learn; use the holidays as learning time, forget trading

It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.

Thanks for your help. I am ready writing EA for different strategy. And I found some variation with 2 brokers. I am just converting my EA to 1 HR TF from 4Hr TF i will update the progress soon.
