I sold on the open of the bar after that 1st red bar closed at 1.3068, put in a SL at 1.3088 (about 5 pips above the high) and set a PT at 1.3037 (just above the top of the SHI Channel on the15 min chart which I thought would be support). Turns out that the 1.320 area was the real support (so far).

Did a 5 lot and made 155 pips (live account ).

I personally feel it's better to wait for the Green TDI to go downward cross.

Had some fun this morning scalping the London session on the M15 at every cross of the TDI.....just an experiment......took 5 trades....total of +108 pips gained......only used 1/2 lots since that time frame can reverse on you quickly.....exited the biggest trade after price failed to break the high of the session three different times. Two trades ended at break even.

Phx62 excellent. Every day I learn more from you. I think these days I'll come to realize Backtesting to try to replicate some of the wonderful orders that you do and learn more. Many times I move to BE very fast. For example, in the 2 orders that closed to BE, at what point you decided to close the order or move the SL to BE?

Thank you very much.

Hello Phx68, please:
at 8:30 on your chart, why did you not take the first cross? Is it only because it was before the London session?
Best regards

I entered each trade on the M15 with a 20 pip SL and a 20 pip TP. I moved my stop to BE at about 10 pips into profit.
If the candles are long with no wick on the back end, I remove the TP and exit manually at the point I decide the trend is exausted or is reversing.
Big E used to say he expected 3 to 8 candles in a row on a change of candle color and TDI cross. Today, during London, that proved to be true in every case. The least number was 4 in a row and the most was 8 in a row before the candle color changed. That can only give a trader the confidence to earn some pips when the TDI crosses and candle color changes.

Yes, I started trading at the London Open. I do not trade the Asian session.

X-Man hope you don't mind me sharing this little strategy on this thread, but if it will help others make more pips that would be good.
This was pm'd to me on another forum and have only been using it for a week and had 4 out of 5 winners, some of you may have already come across it and used it. Here it is.

EurUsd, H1 chart
-check the 7:00 NY candle, if it is long or short.
-when it closes, at 8:00 NY time, open a trade OPPOSITE to 7:00 candle.
-so if 7:00 candle closed down (short), you place a buy (long) trade.
-if 7:00 candle closes up (long), you place sell (short) trade.
- the 7:00 closed candle must be at least 3 pips body length, otherwise No Trade !

I set my SL at 25, because i can watch it i do not set a TP to try and pick up all the pips i can, i close the trade when i get a reversal signal.

Just trying to help
Good Luck

I can definitely vouch for this tip as I have been using it for a long time. It's one of those trading phenomena which a lot of experienced traders know about but don't really publicly talk about for some reason!

So the 7:00 NY candle is your 6:00 am (CST) candle which is the 12:00 GMT candle. Is this correct? Show us a chart with your lines marked, if you can.

Perhaps you should start your own thread so as to not confuse those here trying to learn X-Man's method.

Yes, i am in CST, but doesn't matter what timezone you are in, it would be the candle before the NY open, then when the NY open you open trade the opposite direction.
