Sorry to keep flogging this dead horse but why worry about long? Almost no reaction higher to the 30 Nov 2010 turn point, that strongly suggests lower from here, next prob bounce area the 10 Jan 2011 low.

I strongly agree...it blew past the Daily SHI Channel support like it wasn't there.

I'm not saying that we are going to have a major reversal or something to the long side. I have been taking only short positions for the past few days, in fact, I have another short order in below the low for the day. I am just saying that I am cautious when PA has moved so far in one direction.

I made 200 pips in the last 2 days by buying USD/CAD

think about the trend before take action.

My SL on swingtrade g/u long was hit -40 pips. Lost all of the pips I made on monday on bad trades yesterday and today. Guess the second half of December isn't gonna do anything for me. And I don't want to drop down to the M15 to get some action.

I'm done for this year.

I just wanted to thank X-Man for sharing his system with us, he has done his best to help everybody. Newbies check this thread and see the potential of making 1000s of pips per month. They dive right in hoping to get a piece of this pie of pips. Then after a few losses they get frustrated. It is December and as we get closer to Christmas and end of this year, the market behavior becomes more difficult. EU is borderline on collapse unless some miracle happens. The above factors make EU very challenging going forward.

It is futile to think that just by reading a system rule you can just dive in and trade this method. My posts are few but I have traded for many years and have done up to a 6 months backtest of S3 method and haven't mastered it yet. Just like X-Man says backtest and backtest and then do some more backtesting. Once comfortable then demo this method for at least 3 months and if your results are near as good a X-man then go live.

There are a few contributors such as SmokeyD, Phx62, and Vantage who know what they are talking about so pick their brain and look at their charts that they post. You have to pay your dues before you start making pips.

I'm off now so parting shot for the day. There is some support starting to show around 2970. Is this the start of the reversal (who knows) or just maybe the start of the London close bounce?

I suspect the latter, if this level was going to be a key turn point surely the reaction up would be bigger with the 2 biggest markets open together?

There has to be a time when the big boys turn off the sell tap and start buying from those last remaining sellers. I failed mind reading at school so I'll just wait for the charts to give evidence of a turn (on daily).

Anyway I couldn't care IF this is turning point I just look at 1hr for last few days and see the sell pips available v buy pips available.

The markets are quiet and the threads are quiet.
Looks like everyone getting in the holiday mood, Everyone doing their Christmas Shopping .
No traders putting their money in the market for us S3 traders to take.
Compare PA last week to this week its like theres no movement at all, its like we trading the Asian sessions.
My guess its going to be like this until the start of January.
E/U seems to be dropping like a rock but i see a divergance but you never know with these kind of markets

Looks like the first month of my trading career i wont be hitting that 1000 pip target.

But hey guys it was a few good months of trading i had.

I decided to take the rest of December as my holiday.
I'll be back to the charts in the first week or second week of January depending on how long it take me to recover from the holiday and new years bash.

I will be carrying my laptop around to keep visiting the thread and help traders in any way possible.

Yes, I hit SL on my E/U trade as I went long in spite of the very clear downtrend... Fortunatelly I am still on demo...
I think in most cases, perhaps even in H1, the momentum can not be enough to take countertrend successfully. I have to backtest it.

In Short @ 1.2972. Took a while but its finally showing some profit. Fingers crossed.

Took E/U short on break of 1.3000. Took a while to sdevelope, finally hit TS at 1.2963. Experimented on demo with a G/U trade that went bad. Overall -40 pips for the day but still up for the week. Difficult market right now so if one can trade at BE or slightly above then better results are sure to follow.

Guys, took this trade with 40 pips won.
