To be fair to FXDD....my satallite internet was acting up and hughes net is doing everything to cover it up. My pc is fine, the modem has been tested 20 times. I have not used more then my alotted downput for the day. I can see the speed change...sometimes below 56 k. Sometimes zero.

Their requotes could be my satellite. I don't think it's all satallite. My deviation is 5.

The fact that they have such a large spread for a sell stop is a pain in the butt. Also moving the sl during the trade you get the same large spread. Other brokers are not as large.

I'd rate them a 5 out of ten. They do have cash.....a more secure business to hold your money.

FXDD is a decent broker, but I am really not happy with the spreads. 3+ on usd/cad 4 on the GBP/USD. requotes are common and their server was down for about 20 min the other day. Their customer service is really quite good.

I opened my account with them one year ago.

Before 2011 they offer fixed spread after that their AVG spread is up 25%.

Moreover, floating spread means it can be widden at any time, it will raise some SL hunting issues as well.

After 2 years, I finally learned in Forex world none of broker is good. All gambling houses will ban the big winner and this rule will always work in your life time.

To solve this problem, we have to withdarw and open a new account with different ID NO. Therefore, they will treat you like new customers. So we can get fair trading condition all the time.

I will never use fxdd again. I've seen delayed requote windows, orders that never close, price feeds that differ from a broker friends feed....same fxdd. spikes from hell.....20 + pips higher then 2 other brokers at the same time. I believe something very evil lurks there.

Use PFG best if you can afford a 1.00 a pip. That's as small as they go.

They are as good as it gets as far as I'm concerned. No B.S. ...none!
Slippage is fair....goes both ways. Spreads are tight...E/U is usually 1 pip spread....never seen it over 2 even during news. they do charge a commission...1.36 per trade on 1.00/pip. A few cents for NFA per trade.

You always get requoted orders, freezing platform with FXDD ,they make themselves a bad reputation.

can you tell more about FXDD, and I see you have been in FX for six years were can I get a better foundation & understanding of forex. who can you point me to

FXDD- Malta - Easy to get money in and out with paypal, but spreads getting wider, and requote seems to be happening more often like others say here. If you are stupid and get into bad trades without stops (I know, my own stupidity) you get all trades closed at once. They are pretty quick to credit your money when you need to topup. Taking money out only takes a couple of days - I email or fax the withdrawal.

Also trading with GOTRADER in Australia and the spreads are usually around .5 to 1 pip better. Gotrader is a straight through (you get what you get), and rarely hesitates, but you do slip sometimes of course.

I have a second screen on the laptop with the F10 showing the current quotes made to be larger, so I keep a constant eye on the spreads. Also have the android droid trader app for both brokers which gives me the spreads. Go trader also allows up to 50% eating into your margin (I know that is really bad money management!).

So in summary, I think we expect a lot from a very busy complex trading system, and I would recommend trading with at least 2 brokers for when 1 freezes.

Still no connection to fxdd since a little after 2:00pm est. Still waiting for my 1st post to show (been at least 2 hours and waiting) since i am a junior member i have to put up with this crap cant even start a new thread to explain my problem but did notice since a little after 2pm est the eur/usd price has been on a nice little bull run, makes me wonder what the hell is going on. Lets see what happens if my post will ever show hopefully i can get a little feedback from somebody. Just ridiculous on both fxdd and forexfactory!!!

I am not going to be around to reply, I am in Australia and work full time plus more in the lead up to Christmas, so I shall try and check in tomorrow to see if it is just a temporary glitch or a longer issue. Hope your connection gets better...

Hello, I just want to comment on FXDD. The spreads are getting bigger, especially on G/U. This broker not suitable for scalper. The SL that you put will always get hit with extra pips between 2-7 (5 digit broker), but the TP will not get those extra pips. I remember during the news, my TP got hit but the trade have not close yet, it still running almost 50 pips. I try to close the trade manually but it cannot, not until the price came back to my TP.


Still no connection to fxdd since a little after 2:00pm est.
Mine too, it happen on
2011.12.12 21:15 broker time. It back again on 2011.12.12 23:20 broker time.

2011.12.14 3:50 broker time .It back again on 2011.12.14 4:20 broker time.

Its getting more no connection on FXDD .

they have great customer service, lousy spreads and a worse technical platform.

I got requoted 8 times once while trying to sell gold. By this I mean my requote was then requoted 7 more times.

I am looking for another broker as we speak.

You must be getting someone different to me, never would have said great customer service, they treat you like an idiot on chat, deny everything and it is all your computer having issues!!!!

If you find a broker that you are happy with, could I please ask that you come back and tell us about them? I would like to change too obviously, but working full time means that while I dream about making money from forex, I am not yet able to devote the time to research I would like to....

Well, I usually phone up and things go quite well. When their server was down they told me it was down. However this has happened at least three times in the last 6 months. Counting the off and on (at least 4 times) of the last week as only one time.

My vote for brokers in no particular order goes like this: Dukascopy, Oanda (Canada), IB and MB. However if you go online you will discover that every broker has its haters. I plan to open accounts in the first three over the next few weeks as your deposit is insured, each by a different national government.

If you are American then you can only go with IB and MB. If your account is small, the commission structure and minimum deposit makes MB the best choice.
