I understand your trepidation...To be honest, this is a refinment of the TMS thread started by Big E. which has been going strong for some time now. As far as the method goes, it takes care of a lot of newbie types of mistakes like trading at the wrong time of day, momentum issues, too many indicators, etc. I would invite you to stick around, give it a try. So far we've cultivated a very friendly group.

Hmm. Where to start. Well, backtesting is understanding the rules of the trade methodology and looking left on your chart and applying them to history so that you can get a feel for the rules and get some good practice in. The idea is that you start from the beginning of your history and advance your mt4 platform one bar at a time and apply the rules at the right time by putting lines where your stop loss and take profit and entry would be. Playtesting.
As for the Synergy bars and pullback candles, they are usually referred to as pinbars. Or rather a candle with long wicks and small bodies. Bring up the euro with synergy bars on the hourly and look left, you will find them at the tops and bottoms and you'll learn to recognize them really well if you look. Sorry, don't have time right now to upload a pic. Hope this helps you though.

Yoshi: A pullback is when price heads off in one direction then reverses dramatically in the opposite direction. See the attached picture. When at the
top or bottom of a trend, they offer a high probability trade and great returns for (usually) low risk.
