Took the trade as well but in retrospect I shouldn't have - 00 numbers usually act as resistance or, as in this case, support, so would need significant selling to push it lower which doesn't appear to be at the mo.

So I bail on my euro short at BE as it was bouncing around 0-15 pips and then it breaks down 30 pips to what I wanted in the first place.

So was I too hasty in getting out (did so because it has retraced 20 pips and didn't seem to now what it wanted to do) or should I have stuck it out longer with the info I had at the time? Obviously in retrospect I should have but keen to get my logic right during the trade. Any advice appreciated.

closed earlier short -11, this long seems to make it, about 30 p.

Nope i did not break any rules of mine.
I went strictly according to my experience and my rules.
Never did i say that the pullback candle must change color, those were the rules of someone else in this thread.
My rule is that whenever i see a pullback candle i trade in the other direction.
Im posting a chart to show you all the pull back candles marked with red arrows.
Yes i tend to enter before the cross because with my experience from back testing.
In fact i dont even need the TDI indicator to make decisions.
I just look at PA on the synergy bars and can make decisions.
My indicator is in my mind.
Another thing i want to show you guys on the chart is there is a bearish divergence.
Another thing is that i marked my chart with blue arrows indicating bounces on TDI , look at how many bounces there are already.
Usually the most bounces i see are 2, if theres more than 2 bounces then i wont trade the bounce coz i know a cross will come soon.

I dont have a crystal ball or any thing like that. Its just all that back testing thats paying off.
Today was one of the easy trades thats why i called that trade early straight after the pull back.

I made 50 pips, didnt have to manually close my trade as my TP was hit nicely.

Thats why when i tell you guys to back test i really mean it.
Its like been a sports player . for him to get good at what he does he has to practice and practice and practice more.
Even if his sick and tired of it he still practices to be the best he can. I read it up some where that Christiano Ronaldo practices 300 free kicks every day.
The same thing applies to becoming a trader.

No you were not at all wrong, call it the "Cost of Doing Business".

The position which most you took was around the 1.3415/25 levels and as per me you took a position a little late. Indeed you waited for the methods rules to come in place. Now this is where developing that edge comes in when it is about this method. If you see X-MANs post above he short it at 1.3440 levels despite the fact that system did not give definite confirmation still he took the short right at pivot so that the stop loss of 20 pips would cover one pivot and a 1.3450, which although psychologically is a very small resistance still it is better. And at next 25 pips you could have booked 1/3rd your position and moved SL to BE. These are just some trade management techniques.

Obv m8 hindsight is easy but these are my 2 cents.

Yip thats correct i traded the pullback candle.
the candle that followed after the pullback was bullish (which im sure some traders were biting their nails if they were short) But i did not exit my trade as the candle could not break the pullbacks high.

Makes sense OFD. Agree should have been in earlier. I suppose key was X_Man took the pullback and so had pips in the bag when it was bouncing around the 00 level whereas because I got in later, was in Stop Loss mitigation mode.

I'm in this as well +30 right now. Pretty good for my first trade using these rules!

I've been trading the TMS succesfully on H4 and daily for the past couple of months and was looking for a H1 strategy with the same basis. Guess I found it here!

So Pullback candle is similar to shooting star?

Is the one on 6th December at 20:00 also a pullback candle?

I'm doing backtesting as we speak, but I also want to know what else do I have to put extra attention on apart from the obvious.

X-Man, that pullback cancel was kinda small so what constitutes a minimum size pullback candle if there is such a thing or was it because you saw the other things in combination, TDI bouncing off the red three times etc. For eg if you look 11 and 15 bars back there two equal size pullback candles, but didn't go anywhere - would you have traded these inf they were in our trading time (Just keen to understand how you size them up)
