Would this qualify as a valid bounce trade for AU? it looked good to me. Or am I trading into heavy consolidation area. and I should have passed?

Hey guys

I went long at the open of the candle that has a red arrow below it.
As you can see it also showed a break out.
I reading the news about merkel and sarkozy.
It had a very positive outcome which made the EUR strengthen
and then the USD news followed which weakened the USD thus increasing EUR more.

Im not sure about A/U on the 1H because i have done absolutely no back testing at all on the 1H.
The only pair i back tested on the 1H is E/U.

I am starting to back test G/U on the 1H so then we can trade E/U and G/U on 1H method.

even if you look at the candle thats on the vertical line it shows a slight pull back to go long. I waited a bit before entering.
I made a nice 30 pips.

Yes looking back at the chart on mine the TDI crossed right at the vertical line. In hindsight I should have waited and looked for signals after the vertical line. Plus the daily chart looked bullish :/ Need to stick to your ruls X-man

If i understand correctly you are trying to find TDI and synergy bars on your MT4 platform.
It wont be there if you did not install them on your platform.
The indicators are on my first post.
To learn how to install them you can look at the trading made simple thread , in the first few pages Big E and some other traders explained in detail on how to install the indicators.

I've got a couple questions and sorry if you've read it, or I might have passed it.

After looking at the SHI channel and where the price is in relation to the EMA 60, you still need TDI to cross to get into a position. Is that right? With Swing, do you close the position once the TDI re-cross?

As when I look at different TF, Gold is trending down on H4, whilst trending up on H1 and D1. This affects my confidence...
yes thats right i use the cross on the TDI for entry only for my swing trades.
After that TDI will keep crossing , but you hold your position for a swing trade.
My exit on swing trade is based on my preference.
you can exit for 200 to 500 pips.

Guys i want to know how many of you guys went long on the NY session?

I would also want to know how many of you guys did serious back testing?
I can tell you know that if you dont spend quality time back testing then you wont see results.
When back testing look for those pull back candles and look at the candle formation with the TDI.
All this is repeated over and over again and if you can identify them through your experience in back testing then i can tell you now that you can make a lot of pips just with 1 pair.

Nico mine SHI also wasnt looking the same but then you have to go to your daily chart for you shi to adjust and then come back to your 4 chart.
Thats what i do every morning so the shi channel is refreshed.
just go to daily and come back to your 4H chart thats all for it to automatically adjust

Hi X-Man... I've been reading about Trading Made Simple Thread by Eelfranz, kind of like this simple system. Then I found your thread too.

I'm trying this system on Demo, I've marked the time as you said.
My problem is my entry point and SL point, I set 1:1 ratio on TP : SL, but sometime 1:2 on TP:SL. I think if it hit more SL, well certainly I will loose my account.
I enter the market on 2nd candle or when the TDI is crossing each other. Sometime on the 1st candle, today I enter on the 3rd candle

Enter Long at 1.3475, my TP:SL ratio is 1:1, 55 pips

Hi all! Thanks to X-Man for all that you do. looks OK. I tested history can tell in a trending market very good. If a little volatility many false entries, but this is more from a misunder standing of the market and inexperience . When trade on h1 you see h4 trend? You do a great job. I sorry my English is bad.

Potential swing trades. I have set my SL at swing lows. there is no TP yet

Im thinking now that USD/CAD moves in the opposite direction of E/U so cornelius just watch that maybe U/C might break the bottom of the channel to form new low or the other scenario is that the longs on E/U and G/U might not last.
just remember that every trade is unique
When entering a trade you must be prepared to lose.
If you aint prepared to lose then do not enter a trade.

the 1H method is only to ride it for a few candles and then exit.
Try setting your TP equal to risk or more than your risk.
I trade the first 3 hours of the london session i wont hold a trade longer as the market gets choppy and slows down.

If you still holding the trade long then you can set TP at 1.3500 coz that the next major resistance

you're stop is 1.3345 and you're TP is still far !

Well I dont know if this is a good idea, but I am adopting eelfranz's philosophy of finding a pair that appears valid for entry. So I am picking and choosing ones based on the rules. Sometimes the outcome does not work so that is when questions pop up. But I am limiting my self to the Majors. AU EU and GU because for some reason i always get killed on the usd/chf

regardless of pair i seem to get on pinbar entries

I like to trade with SL & TP, because I don't have much time to monitored the market in work time, so I trade at night and some at morning if there is a signal.

I've moved my SL & TP to where I accepted the risk.
Time to bed... CU tomorrow X-Man
