I was "forced" to live there for about six months...three-ish years ago. Mixed emotions! My mom...(a young) 62/63 at the time...came to visit, and was like...g e t me the fak out of here!!! Helijet back to Vancouver (on me) the next AM. Funny.

Did see two really cool gigs there, though...probably my fondest memories of the place...other than leaving! Queens Of The Stone Age...and then the Dandy Warhols about a month later. Had those two events not happened, I probably wouldn't be sitting here typing right now!

Summer is pretty nice if you like staying out of the water... Calgary is a bit south for northern lights unless you are referring to the oil fields... I love Seattle, rain and all...

Saw them in September 2009 (maybe2008?) after leaving Victoria in a BIG yellow Penske truck...full of $$$ x 2 in audio equipment...northern Ontario. What a sight! What a drive! Big azz country!!!

i've seen unspectacular northern lights from good elevations as far south as the Olympics and Mt. Baker but it'd be awesome to see them where they fill up half a sky.

Vancouver beats Seattle but they're both pretty awesome in late summer...

I spend most of my days in Big Ass Asian Metropolis' (Metropoli?) That is what seems normal to me these days. I need a certain amount of stimulus to get me through the day.

Descent...The Three Sisters...this range is called! Spectacular! Nearly drove that big yellow truck off the side of a Rocky Mountain High while looking at it! Yes...I took the photo while driving!!!

Crap photo...do have good video.

What an amazing thing to see. It scared the shite out of me! I had NO idea it/they were going to be there. Had probably been driving for about 16 hours that day...then WHAMMO! I was rubbing my eyes...like...insect related, kind of thing.

Very special thing to see!

Man...that would be a HARD way to make a living!

I did it once...a one way drive...(unfortunately) West to East (always seem to find it better the other way around. Prefer chasing the sun rather than drive away from it, I guess?)...probably wouldn't do it again. Maybe once more...back to the west.

The US is MUCH better for driving! Have driven it extensively...not in a truck like that, though. Canada? Not a lot of "go around it" routes if/when you need them.

Yeah, it is the little byways that make life fun, not the big highways. That and the novelty of being somewhere you have never been before.

You know...on reflection...

If somebody said to me...everything you own is now mine...and you now have two choices of what to do...

1- Take the keys to this truck and drive back and forth across Canada/NA...where-evs...
2- Put on this suit and go work in X bank.


I think more often than not, I would choose door number one!
