Todaj I try with trailing my trades and get results as shown below. I set trail 10pip but findout that is too small and then move SL by hand.
I know that this is not strictly system question but is there someone that has experiance what trailing pips is the best setings for diferent pairs. 10pip is definetly too small and I now I will try with 15. Or it is best to jump with SL in lets say 20pip steps?

eu 7:40 -20
9:20 -10
gu 7:40 +15partial +85close
au 8:30 +20partial +50close
ej 7:05 +20partial +15close

I cant help you with this

But I will sent a mail to gleneagles about him to test something with his software.
I dont know if it is ok or.

But I will come back.

I think your trailing stop should be set as a result of your statistical analysis about how many positive pips would a trade you entered with this system give you as an average... this means, make a spreadsheet where you'll register the entries of a considerable number of trades and their results, the number of positive pips averaged bu your trades will determine the trailing stop size you should use in the first place... on the other hand each pair may have a different behaviour in the way it retraces (or quantity of pips it retraces) but for startes you could do well by setting your trailing stop this way as a generics for al your trades. Hope this helps

With this results you can't determinate trailing stop, With this you can set diferent average TP for each pair.
Trailing SL follow price by x pips. When price jumps up and down and you have set it too small then you get out too quick and when you has too large you get out too late.
I know that there is not ideal settings but someone has probably already tried this .

On Kedridder's question about the white arrow in EU...

Yes there was a white arrow many candles before. However the mkt also pulled back past the 89EMA and then crossed again, making a new EMA-cross (SAR) signal.

If I understand it right, **either** white candle **OR** EMA cross is an entry signal. Correct Peter?

So there was a white arrow, but you really didn't need it. The EMA cross in the 12:40 GMT bar gave you the signal you needed.

you still need the last arrow to be in the direction of the way you want to trade, if the last arrow was up, then u woudnt take this trade short, but i dont think that will ever come up since if it does this the arrow will always be in our favour anyway

Aztrader - my bad!

I should of only taken 20pips according to the rules.

The script was being greedy.

I slapped it and reduced the TP to 20.

The white arrows is only about reentry. those white arrows has nothing to do with the ohter standard setups, as I have tryed desribe in the rules.

Hello to all. Great thread you have going here. I am trying to climb on board this big beautiful boat, but having a small problem. I downloaded and have everything up and looking good except the Period Converter does not seem to do anything. I have a 5 minute BB chart running. I drag and drop the period converter onto the chart, but the upper left indicator does not change to 10 minutes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please read the Tips section of the PDF manual. You are doing it all wrong.

Simply add the indi at a 1 min chart. Then open file>Open Offline>select the 10 min chart. Thats all.
