Where can I learn more about Price Action like those in James16 charts? 9 replies
DislikedThings are volatile so I am not going to try to close them without more information. When you get gaps across the board that big and that move that fast it can keep going. I'll use them to look to trade back to close(if a good setup comes up that calls for that either way).

DislikedHello Sir Fx7877,
if i may chime in...
correct me if im wrong.. this Oanda weekly charts havent fully formed. i believe they still have almost 2hours before these weekly candles fully form.
your first 3 charts show 'bullish' Pinbars. ideally, bullish pinbars have their close higher than the open. this is not the case on those 3 charts.
on your 4th & 5th charts, u asked a question. Yes, these pinbars (actually all the pinbars u pointed out) are relatively VERY small. but know that size doesnt always give a guarantee, but Size...Ignored
DislikedThanks SC, good to see you bud
Yep these (if closed) would all be very small to me, in a lot of traffic, or weak closes.
None have that stand out factor and look more like bounces then any significant buying or selling

DislikedHey Mike,
Thanks for your inputs. Hard to find gd setup lately if one is picky, but I guess that's just the way it is in this biz.
One thing: Do u generally prefer to see bullish PB for BUY setups and bearish PB for SELL setups?Ignored
DislikedHey FX
I am not sure what you mean, buying above a pinbar would be only for bullish pinbars(nose sticking down), and selling a pinbar would make it a bearish one(that is nose sticking up)
Sorry if I missed your question

DislikedHi Mike,
Yes, we shld only buy above PB with nose sticking down. What I mean is if this PB has close lower than opening (red PB, but still with nose sticking down), does it matter? Does the colour of the PB matter in your decision making of entering the trade?Ignored
DislikedGenerally speaking I like for a strong close, but it's not an absolute for me. Closes are very important though and I recommend keep a close eye. Most people tend to pick small bars with poor closes. That's a double whammy most times

DislikedHey Avanish,
What was your entry point in this CHFJPY trade? Could you kindly elaborate on that?
ThanksIgnored
DislikedHey Avanish, long time
Here's mine. Simple stuff:
Gold- break of inside bar. Closed at 1714, no messing about. Banking the profit.
Nymex (Crude)- 30min PB. Yes, I know, 100BRN below but 1h PB closed underneath...just, but location and story was good. Shame I had a meeting, closed this early before the monster move short. Still, that's 7 winners out of 7 on this pairIgnored
Dislikedhey 16..
my entry was 84.65(at the break of BUOB)..
TP was 84.95...SL was reduced to the half of the BUOB
but i see it almost reached my target and reverse back..so i closed out my trade with short profit...Ignored
