DislikedDean, I think it's a reasonable question -- it's confusing me too.
Super candle close is NOT the same as the Price close, as shown in the picture I posted. You can't tell from looking at your picture whether the Super candle Close matches the price close, but my example showed it's NOT always the same. So "some" close crossing the 89EMA is a signal. Is it the Price close or the Super candle close?
If it's the Super candle, we have to be careful about deciding if the Top or Bottom of the Super candle body is the close... you can't see it from...Ignored

DislikedHere's an example that shows what I mean.
In the Data Window, you can see SuperTrend..., Value 2, Value 3, Value 4. Unfortunately they didn't label them well but I'm 99.99% sure those correspond to O, H, L, C.
Look at the Price & Super candle Close values in the boxes. They are NOT the same. Price closed at the TOP of the body (as you can see in the chart, the white line is the Close), but the Super candle closed at the BOTTOM of the body. On the next bar, both Price and Super candle closed at the bottom.

DislikedI have asked someone to build an EA, but simply for backtesting purposes, I don't like EA's for live trading either.
So the EA will backtest strictly by Fratelli's rules on AU, EU and EJ and I will post the results here, because a couple of things bother me about visually backtesting one of which is that it is difficult to tell when a particular candle turned green or red, at this very moment EJ is about to cross the supertrend indicator line and if it does will then turn this candle and the one before it, green (they both flashed green as...Ignored

One thing I want to be sure of, which I always do before trying any system is that each signal stands on its own merits. By that I mean, not discounting a trade just because you would have been in one already, because then it can come down to luck as well as a good signal. If you go to the bathroom when the first signal happens which wins, but take the second and that loses, we all know that feeling I'm sure
So the EA will...Ignored
DislikedCan I ask if you downloaded the PDF files with rules from page 1.

Dislikedto answer your first quistion.
If I got a signal for a trade and I took it, if I later got a new signal but was still in that trade, I did not backtest that second signal.
Because that dont make sense to me, if I allready in a trade I dont take a add on just because a new signal in same direction occur.
Hope it make sense

DislikedYes, I realise that, and that is how I would trade it, but the reason I am going to do a backtest with all legitimate trades taken is because you might not necessarily be in that first trade for one reason or another, but you might go in the next, so a backtest needs to be done as mechanically as possible.Ignored
