I was reading something earlier/yesterday (?) on how IF the Euro holds together...the world is actually VERY short on Euros???

Now...what the fak does that mean, exactly? Just seems a ludicrous statement to me. Would be like watching a military jet-fighter torture test flight. If it doesn't blow up under stress...I'll order 2000 of them. If it breaks apart...well...I don't really want that one.

gold only has value if people can afford to have it. the same with the euro. price anything to high. and nobody can afford it.. i know it sounds fu.. look at it as supply verses demand. no matter how rare something is.. it worth is controlled by the demand. if there is no demand for gold. its worthless. substitute the euro for euro products. if you price them too high because of a rare euro, then demand goes down. it has a balance... that makes it work or not

Agreed...that all makes sense to me. I should have stated my quote a little clearer, though...

If the thing doesn't completely blow up into oblivion...there should be a large rally. I can even understand that, to some regard, but what does baffle me a little, is how we are still trading at the levels that we are, considering how dire the situation is. If we were at 1.20-1.25...I wouldn't be so baffled, but we're nearly 2000pips higher than that right now.

Whatevs...I've tried to just give up thinking about it rationally, because the thing is being propped and manipulated in the most irrational manner, that there is nothing rational remaining about it.

BUT...how can the Euro be "undersupplied" or anywhere near that, when the ECB is having to print to buy how many different country's bonds now? And...said country's economies are getting larger and larger.

Fak it...give me the spoon...I'll just enjoy it!

ECB doesn't print while the Fed is doing it for them. Prolly will come out a couple years from now if we're still here. In realtime, you can't really know what the CBs are doing. My guess is that there has been a massive pipeflow of usd to the ECB this fall.

ah, but what the Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away. If/when the eurozone settles down the the supply/demand dynamic should swing back with a euro fall. Fall from where when? Sheesh...top to low-mid 1.5's to revert to mid-high 1.4's end 1st qtr 2012.

Unless there's more eurozone dysfunction panic or Israel bombs Iran or who knows what....then its just a matter of how long the panic lasts...
