1.03 guys, looking good to top bollinger (55 setting) upper trendline and 1 hr 200ema. Great point of confluence.

yep the technicals are definitely in favour. just the fundamentals im worried about, ive got a keen eye on the equities though so as long as they keep flying im holding long

closed longs. have to leave my computer for a while and not liking the way the equities came off their highs.

seriously considering taking a long into the weekend here with reports that berlusconi will officially be gone by monday.. might be a gap up when we come back on monday. will depend on if the market stays flat throughout the ny session

I would actually put in a long if I can get a better price (around 1.01) over the weekend. So far with the ranging movement today have secured closed to 200 pips

doesnt look like we're going to get a cheap enough price here. might try to fade this rally if anything

0300 stopped out @ 0350 on the way back down. Buy order triggered overnight @ 0250. Also bought the potential double bottom @ 0212. We'll see what happens!

Been away for 2 days. Opened my chart. 2 lots triggered long @ 0150. Had left one lot running @ 0250. Both 0150 lots closed @ 0250. Left 0250 running for some more upside next week (hopefully). Still got that 0550 open.... hopefully we will see some significant upside soon.

Everything and I mean everything tells me to short monday. Daily, 4 hourly and 1 hourly 200ema's, bearish divergences, trendline, 38.2 retrace (off change in leadership news), Bollingers (55 setting) MACD's, major resistance. A change of Italian leadership will do nothing for that countries woes, they are in too much debt and the market knows it. I feel this is just a reactive flare north.

Well , me too ....short in this pair...

But the daily chart shows a different picture...and i really dont know wat to do...Yes it is under 200 EMA but in the daily chart it retraced 50 of the previous wave...i think it will be in a ranging mode on monday and decide its direction on tuesday or wednesday...

To sum up it is 60% short , 40% long....we ll see !

Anyway went short @ 1.0293 again, lets see if we get down to parity next week.

146 pips bagged off that up move on Italy Govt news. If Asia brings us down to 0230ish, I will go long off the 30min 200ema to complete the up move to the 38.2 retrace at 0320ish for 90 more pips. After that, I will be strictly playing trendline break down. With bail out package to go ahead, I now feel the daily bullish head and shoulders may play out. We have sort of gone full curcuit with Europe and a number of things are starting to fall into place at the one time to encourage investors. However, any hint that investors are over bail out packages and just don't think Italy/Greece have a future in the Eurozone, and we could see a huge move down to 96 at least and probably to 9360 and beyond. The overall bearish weekly and monthly candles, bearish weekly divergence and bearish high timeframe MACD's are all pointing to a big weak ahead. Strict fundies and technicals point south, while misplaced hope in Europe (which is what tends to be driving the markets these days) are pointing north, so a hard one to tell.

IMO 1.043x will be seen this week 1.23x is the first support.

AUD/USD @ 1.0330

Market once again gets a boost from a couple of European PM departures.

This is no green light that all is ok.

Still feel we are in the broad ranges below

1.00/1.02 buying zone 1.05-1.07 selling zone
