lets c.. a large bank offers some large investors some bundled bonds with the high yielding Italian in the mix (all done almost instantaneous). the rate then drops with the ecb also buying. hooray!!! we saved it.. pumping up the euro with a small amount of capitol. then at the top they sell euro with a larger position.. make money on the bundled bond sale, then make more with the s..
a few billion in bond sales.. leveraged... so with a few million. (ecb has the bulk).. can move 40% of a 3 trillion $ market.. manipulation? no no.. not in a free market

Its the same scam with the Brady Bonds, right, you remember those...they took Latin American bonds, added some US treasuries, and re sold them, if I recall correctly, but it worked that time...
