I hear ya. But if the EMU is going down the road of debt monetization they will naturally want a weaker euro. If the old boys want a weaker euro then that is what we will see. On the other hand, the usd may just have been tapped to be whored out until she is spent like a nasty old piece of jet trash, to be replaced as the global reserve currency by a SDRlike instrument with new weight to the CNY ....

No tellin what the buggers are up to, but the tracks will be on the charts - and sure gapup probable Monday

You got it right. I don't want a statement whether or not questionable or a questionable statement that may or may not be questioned regardless these questions or the statement is quarterly or monthly provided and notwithstanding anything mentioned in my earlier post that questionablility of such statement or the questions, whether one or more or combined or severly, is questioned.

Looks like. If it breaks the extreme right yellow circle. I am aiming at a point just below that yellow circle i.e. just below 1.4000.

Looks like there's another gap that's not tested in 1.34 area. How do you set it up like that? Just take out weekend price?

it makes sense for the eurozone to weaken the euro to help exporter Deutschland grow the zone away from recession. much has been blogged about recent euro strength being incidental to m/l emergency sale of usd paper and also liquidity injections of usd from the Fed. But if the crisis mode mellows out in the eurozone then it might ironically be safer for euro to weaken.

good thing about being a scalper is I just have to react to what i see unfolding on the charts, check any macro bias at the door.

Weekend data from NY Friday close to Tokyo open next week is ignored.

I have a "half-gap" near 1.3320 to 1.3390. Half becasuse this gap was closed. But as mentioned in my earlier posts, I consider these "Gaps" just very strong support/resistance levels and therefore do not expect them to be filled, only pa may try to retest these levels when it gets near to these Blackholes.

ps - I got you now. Yes there is one more near 1.3450, but that area was already marked by a pink line (again a strong level) and therefore I missed that gap.

The real problem with the euro is absolutely it's excessive strength due to the massive repatriation of Foreign paper to recap insolvent banks...

I trade primarily massive moves(1000 pip moves and such) mainly cuz I have an erratic life schedule that is not conducive to day trading since I'm often away from my computer and such... So macro global sentiment is a major factor in my position building..

The recent euro clusterfuxk has been cramping my style... Lol

A quick look through of the last two years will show that only one Monday morning gap of the EU was not filled within 10 days. This works out to about a 98% success rate (working on the assumption that it only gaps 1 in 2 times) But sometimes it takes a run of 800 pips before it gets around to closing. And life would have sucked for you if it were indeed that 1 time that it didn't close.

But Chicky, my chart does not show a gap this Monday (although it shows all the others). Why does yours?
