Now that is a generalisation. The British are funny. The Australians are funny. Both nationalities tend to get each other's humour. I have friends from both countries although I must say my Australian girlfriends are more outrageous (but that might be just my friends).

Indeed. With friends it's not so bad because they know where you are coming from so there is no need to use those silly little emoticons etc. I often get mistaken for abrupt with people I don't know.

It's not quite my birthday here. Can only handle one big night out these days so I'm saving my energy. But it's nice of you to remember.
