and i know that annoyance of closing out a trade too early, but you can still enjoy that satisfaction of knowing you predicted the price action with almost perfect precision. definitely something to take confidence from. not to mention you still made a profit

it would help me out if you explained what im missing. what was that rally, unpricing the greek referendum? rumours of a new greek government? what i see right now is the negative (i.e. china today implying they wont contribute to the EFSF) fundamentals outweighing the positive.

Didn't mean to sound "rash" - simply meant that strange things can and will happen.

Clearly sometimes I get it wrong, just trying to put the point across that the bulk of traders will usually go long/short when dealing with numbers such as 50 75 and 100 or even 25.

ya, the market was crazy. i might still short AU if it reach to 1.0480-50 area though..

i wish i had a clue right now..

referendum officially scrapped, and i think theres a confidence vote for papandreou tomorrow? we might be back at 1.0445 in the matter of a few hours!

todays daily candle could look like a bounce off the 38% retracement.. unless it closes below 1.023 (cant rule out anything at this point) and thats messing with my mind a bit.

greek pm looking like getting ousted and with him out the referendum..

hmmm.. this is dousing on the euro fire for now ... dousing risk-off as well..

shorts not looking good then...

shorts need something catastrophic once again to be in play

Today, after FOMC, after the greek "referendum to exit EZ", I was thinking AUDUSD should be below 1.0200 by London session... didnt happened.. 1.0220~1.0210 support kicked it up hard and then it even went above 1.04 for a while...

I am freakin!

Tough environment for Day Trading/ Scalping right now. The market is hyper sensitive and nobody knows what the next scrap of news might be. I closed my 0350 @ 0400 earlier. Still got 1 long left up @ 0550. Should get the chance to buy again near 0250. We'll see!

greek gov't just released 4 page statement:

mr papa saying if an agreement is struck with the opposition theres no need for a referendum


think we already knew that, but more details to come

AUD/USD @ 1.0400

Greece is the word..
The Greek PM decided to play Hokey Cokey last night which turned the market bullish.

This is despite;
ECB dropped rate by .25pct unemployment in Germany rose in more than 2 years and Europes manufacturing contracted.

Now any other time the Euro would have been flogged.

Now how many will be sucked into another rally of false hopes?

Fundamentally it looks crap.

All eyes point to RBA comments and lets just say if Europe are dropping rates on recession fears then we must look at easing here also.

Aud 1.0350 1.0450 on the wide

Thinking this quick 30 pip runup is just repositioning for the announcement. Trying a short targeting 1.0335 on a neutral to slightly dovish statement.
