japanese intervention mate. BOJ had been threatening it all of last week.. kicking myself for not setting up a couple longs in the JPY pairs earlier. easy 200+ pips down the drain..

dare i say it, thanks to japan we might see a complete eradication of the 'europhoria' rally

edit: just saw the 3rd 'expert' in a week on cnbc put an overvalued rating on this pair. i smell ulterior motives

i didn't see the massive selling coming. just closed a 181 pip loss on friday (i shorted it @ 1.0514 and closed at 1.0695.

should have waited...

i haven't entered any trade yet, but i must be positive!!!! don't be hasty and stay cool!

AUD/USD @ 1.0555

Lovely work from the BOJ has got this market battered and bruised.
Just as you thought it was safe to sell USD they stick their bid in.

Now I think there are plenty who have averaged in, sold the rally, doubled up.. call it what you will..

Im sure we havent seen the end of this move yet .. usd/Jpy @79.20 any takers for usd/jpy @ 81?

AUD/USD below 1.0540 spells trouble... and below 1.0500 could mean a massive bear attack.

Europe is going to be fun tonight..

That's in hindsight. What I learnt after getting margin called 3 times was never to trade hindsight. All the should have been, could have been and would have been.

No one expected BoJ to intervene this morning, they're like the boy who cried wolf.

definitely be positive, this could be a good week for you if you make good trades based on the news we have coming.

take a look at your forex calender and you could find a goldmine for easy pips: cash rate releases, fed meetings, unemployment rates, g20 meetings. and as a bonus you might even be able to ride the JPY cross rates if there happens to be a bearish correction (look at the aftermath of the last times we had BOJ intervention in the yen)

ive said it a few times in this thread i think, as a trader your confidence is your best tool

head over to the usd/jpy thread, plenty of traders were smart enough to take small long positions just in case we got intervention after about 3 warnings from the japanese last week. so disappointed in myself for not doing the same.

Very interesting night indead. Heres my screen shot 5m before BOJ. Hared reminder to me to get to BE ASAP!. If you were watching the PA you could tell someyhing BIG was up...As soon as my scalps were spiked out I went short here and E/U..And a Very nice few on U/J too..What a start of a week!

(Still have one position with +23 pip and add trailing stop in this position)
