I like the rules still learning anything to see the price action better. On post 2266 PD you took a 3rftc My question is the strongest 3rftc one typically when the price is moving from HH to LL or LL to HH. At what point do you start the count?

Hi,

from the last HH/LL the count starts without PA dropping although way to the opposite band during the count..
on that particular trade you see the PA reaction to Mid band which i went long and closed for -5 when it did not run for me.. up to that point the count was at one.. then droped a bit and made the 2nd rf, then PA made a small DT between 2nd RF and 3rd rf.. then i had the 3rd rf..
so i had all the elements on that one that i look for.. which are:
a) trending PA outside of the band..
b) PB reaction to the mid band
c) DT
d) 3rd rf confirmation inside the band before mid band

all of this steps is for one thing and only one thing... to soften the impact of the recent trend.. normally at that time if you pay attention you will see the TMA Trend numbers on the bottom right hand corner of my charts has flatten out compare to where it was at the HH point when the trend was still strong.. so, when all this happens what you will see most likely is either a drop to opposite band or a full reversal, which is the ultimate.

status guys on the GU trades that you took.. did you closed it before this sudden drop? did even stick around on the first hurdle? lets us know if you don't mind

Hey P.Dean, what do you think about setting a BE point? lets say if it goes for 10+ pips move sl to BE.

i just chickened out on the au, set the pending order and delete it when i see the doji...

need to work on my confidence...

i suspected that the damn sudden move got you guys.. but it was a 20+ into profit and on the first hesitation candle against the run you could have got out and made 10.. its ok though.. nice job to take the trade and stick around on the first fake hurdle.

you can't really make firm set in stone play for exit in this market.. that's why i am crafty with exit.

on au i just gave up since it had already gone for 310.. lol

market is flat, narrow bands for most majors.. lets see if we get some movement outside of the band..

took a shot short at au nbt favorable band.. lets see if it reaches the lower band.. it's the most decent option atm.. the band is wider than others at it just might give back some of the 300 silly gains of yesterday..

Update: Closed at the previous low when it stalled for 3 pips...not much momentum yet....

Just missed out on getting on the bigger portion of these moves by a few seconds...GU +12, AU + 8 ...Repeated stalling at the band or previous highs...exit..then pop! Got stopped out on my first AUD NBT long - 16...just...

don't worry about not capitalizing on the pops after the band hesitation.. we trade what we see.. otherwise your predicting and we know how that will end, no consistency, at least IMO.

rely on what you see and that's it.. rest is fairytale story.. lol

Thanks PD...I'm just keepin pullin the trigger...I'm no Nostradamus so exit wth stalling at the bands are good exits as you say...

a day of range.....with a lot of NBT practice available....did anyone take any positions? Very quiet in this thread today. I also noticed that if i moved to M1 timeframe, there were SMBT and SBT trades available. Some adjustments have to made for this however. Interesting. Really, I was just curious to see how the system did today for everyone.

I went to the one minute with adjustments also and compare it to the 5min signals. The 5 min typically confirm the one minute and how it is looking. Trying to find a good answer on the TMA trend and how that is used???

Friday's range-ish day provided some solid NBT opportunities in early London session for over 80% hit ratio between the 5major pairs that i follow here.. I capitalized on 3 of them for 40+ which i lived play one.. later on PA turned into chop action (not range not trend) which is easy for us to spot it bcz it hardly gives us any signals and it does the save work for us automatically..
which brings me to talk to you guys about your 1mtf persuasion or interest..
during the chop action its best to not get involve bcz it will not produce consistent winners.. its basically trying to force trades in a directionless market where even the master scalpers of 1mft try to stay away from and use wise filtering systems to not get trapped.. so dropping down to 1m and taking smbt's or else, what your actually doing is trading in the middle of fire where PA is jittery with meaningless sudden moves which is not big in the eyes of the market but more than big enough to sink the avg joe.
I put this in the nutshell.. however you all are more than welcome to try it out.

One minute RF 5 min to 1 min price action Not trying to change anything just watching how the PA works as to the 5 m longer timeframe.

PD, what is the RF anyway? I mean, is it a different presentation of the RSI? Is a mixture of a couple of different measurements? What is it? Thanks.
