When I joined a couple of months ago the E/U spread was around 1.3 pips.. but now its 3.1?

I just did an execution time check.. guess what?

it's 3200ms!! To top that 2.6avg spread during the most liquid period..

Complete JOKE!

Hey Chris----can you help us with these spread concerns PLEASE. 2.5---3 on EU this morning cost me a lost trade already. Whats going on?

I emailed Chris direct about this last night. No response as yet.

I was just thinking that things had improved, but EU with such a high spread + executions noticeably slower last night = not happy!

Yeah well if we keep spreading the bad news on the biggest forum the bad publicity has got to hurt them. We need to keep bumping this topic to get some action.

I'm sure there is a reason why it's like this - i.e. on that spread comparison chart, there were quite a few other brokers who also had significant increases in the spread.

But it would be nice to have some kind of explanation.

its 8 42 pm est time and eu spreads are still well over 2.5 pips

here i thought by taking away the rebattes we might get better spreads. now we have no rebattes and double the spread on eu, ah what a deal.

i am very very disappointed to say the least...............................

I contacted GO through there live chat about the spread issue. Here is their reply:

We are currently encountering an issue with our primary liquidity provider
which has resulted in a change in trading conditions in the past few days.
The most noticeable aspect is that the spreads on some pairs are wider than
the typical levels. We are working with our liquidity providers to get
around this issue and hope to return to normal trading conditions soon.

I just moved my another account to GOM, my intention is to save spread costs, sarcastically, the spread become higher compare to my previous broker....

But fortunately, my online banking rejected my remittance to GOM due to technical issues.

Let's wait and see.

They just say it will be resolved in few next days but no more explanation at all.

They are slow at putting through deposits in my opinion also. They say they don't check the bank account during the day, just once in the morning, but when I have deposited it has been credited at different times of day?

The spreads are about a pip larger than usual on the EUR/USD all the time last few days. Hope they get this fixed up as it doesn't make me feel confident in the whole setup. Why would they be getting worse spreads?

There is something wrong. The prices are not in line with the other broker's as I have 2 screens set up next to the telly, and Go is usually within my other broker. Lately it has seemed to lag.

Gee anything over 2 pips is robbery what is going on Chris and co, its untradable like this, thankfully AU spread is still ok and shes moving well.
Trade speed seems to be pretty good for me for awhile now.

I just updated my android tablet to the new Go Markets platform. I was happy with droid trader, and then all of a sudden it went cranky and told me i was not subscribed. Not happy with no notice. Anyhow luckily I am getting to the stage where i have backups for the backups, and about 5 pcs with mt4 and an internet prepaid stick as well, so I can pretty much hope not to have any troubles at home, but if I had been on the road, I would have worried.

Anyhow my point is that this new thing shows all the spreads on a cute screen and it seems only to be eur/usd that is wider.

I don't seem to be able to see my free margin on it, but I tried to do live chat, and I guess being Friday after a tough week the team is busy or gone. Anyhow, I wasn't that excited that i wanted to ring or email so I shall investigate that next week unless someone else here is using the android new platform?

Does anyone here use the Go Markets webtrader platform? There is probably another forum thread for that, I shall go and search...

Something unusual is going on with Go Markets. The spread is widening recently without any notice or apology. I contacted them and they told me that they know about the case. But why it does take such long time to fix?
I am worried this may become frequent in the future. I have moved from other brokers only looking for low spread.

I don't have a tablet but i have the new GO Markets android phone app. All you need to do on it to see your free margin is go to the open trades tab of the app and tap on the section at the bottom of the screen that shows your open profit/loss and account number and it pops up to show your balance and equity and free margin $ and % as well. Hope that helps

Thank you Muzza! How simple was that. My Telstra T-tab 7" runs on android 2.2 so it is more like a phone. I was trying to look in settings etc. I do like to see that. Did you get any notice that the other droid trader app was going away?
