Is it the case where to take the 50% retrace of the bar, you have to wait for the initial setup to trigger then start retrace.

Any PA is not valid until it breaks, the retrace entry of a BUEOB is after the break on the pullback, or at least that has always been my understanding of it. Not that it matters to me as, I never take the retrace of a BUEOB nor BEOB.

Hmmmm, I'll have to go back and have a read through stuff to make sure I'm not mixing things up.

It's dependant on the PPZ level(s), if the bar is straddling a strong level you can usually expect a retest of the level which you can use as your entry.

Or you can just take a break of the bar, or as PB says you can wait for the bar to break then pull back to a certain retracement of the bar. It depends on how aggressive/conservative you are and if you have time to watch and wait.

James did a video on outside bar retracements, I'm not sure if it's on the public side or not though.

Thinking back now at the times I've taken the 50% retrace of my trigger bar, the bar has broken first then retraced back. So this is an error on my part I think.

Yep. I almost put a retrace entry there rather than break for that reason.... but wanted to take this one live (small account). A few more demos on retrace before I trade them live.

Stop now to 1.7435....(hiding behind the HCR ). Looking for 1.715ish.

Like I said, I could also be wrong as I never take the retrace of such a bar either after or before they break.

But why wld u choose AUDCAD over AUDNZD as your pt (a) kinda negates your pt (b)?

Your right on track, dkc . . Here's a better look at the Gbp/Jpy .. .

We have a consolidation area or a Swing High and its Highest Close of Resistance level . .Price Breaks Through and Close Above . .turning this Resistance levels into a Support level .

Entry is at the HCR level when Price returns.

Thereafter, there is a PB, then a bar that comes close to the 2 bar high blue line. Is that where it offers a possible 2nd entry? Yes, multiple bar Highs (or mutli-Lows with LCS) that are above our HCR level offer not only an intial entry but a secondary entry as well .

I think I but PBT&CA twice because of this other HCR level I have here marked with a red line (chart) . .

We can see that when PBT&CA this red HCR level it act as Support and offered up some pipage. You can't see it to well on the Daily (or maybe you can) but looking at the 4 Hour TF you can see it clearly . .

The best levels are the realy strong and thick consoldaition areas and Deep Swing points.
