at any rate, these experts are not infaliable. they do make mistakes once in a while. I still respect them; they got the balls to call the trade BEFORE it happens for profit or loss unlike some who'd post their trades after the fact claiming they made 100 pips here and there...

ya i agree, anticipating bad usd gdp.

if you look at the aud/usd, there is no reason why it can't go to all time high's again. If you have that conviction, then these levels would be considered a value. last summer, this puppy hit a dip and rebounded 1100 pips over the course of 8 weeks. I think this 1250 pip run in 4 weeks is pretty quick.

did you see their advise on tweet? i checked FXCM website and i can see his daily pick just said looking for buy USD/JPY but not yet. i did not see his advise about short AU

Stop moved to 1.0576, still targeting 1.0700...

but of all the dailyfx experts, i respect most jamie, ilya, chris.
i dont disrespect joel though; he just made too few calls, there is no "track record" to compare.

you can get lots of "news" from tweets if you "follow" the right persons.

you can only blame the news outlets and the ministers themselves for making it sound better than it is. news outlets showing off headlines like 'European agreement reached'. angela merkel saying things like shes happy with the solution that was found.

just like that we have the dax and cac40 up nearly 5%. now watch the US indexes open up over 2% each unless we get bad unemployment/gdp news

the traders in this thread that are going short right now have tremendous courage, but thats just about all i can say for them. going short now really seems like youre taking a stab in the dark

edit: just as im typing this the french cac has surged to over a 5% gain on the day

Holy explosion, Batman! Opened my computer and saw the run up. Closed long from 0400 @ 0640. Had taken another long yesterday @ 0350. That is still open, put a 50 pip trailing stop on it. My long term 0130 still holding for a topside test. I have not seen the news..... something good must have happened in Europe overnight.

what a week so far. aus cpi, eu summit, and now us gdp finally all out of the way.

funnily enough i think tomorrow will be the most interesting day of the week. the market 'noise' will be gone and we'll see if bulls can sustain this all the way to 1.08 or if it is finally time for a retrace.

have managed to restrain myself from jumping in front of this bullish freight train and trading against the trend today but i'll admit its going to be hard to stop myself tomorrow if i get the right signs that bull power is slowing down

having said all that, ive jumped on the bandwagon to push towards 1.07 from 1.065 and my SL is now at BE.

well that was interesting.. moved SL to 1.068 as we were pushing at 1.07 and got stopped out almost instantly. wonder if theres a reversal on its way
