The EA has failed this week taking some massive losses.

Back to the drawing board.

I am tracking your myfxbook demo, checked all of the individual trades and the big hits your demo took have been definitely caused because of the fundamentals, am I right?

Got up to 12% in a few days, and then took a 3% loss. Does not seem that dire?

Thanks. The original KG seems to be a real resource hog. Is this one less . . . voracious?
Ignored
It should be a little faster because it accesses an internal function instead of the MT4 iRSI function. It's voracity depends on your system. I have run it on M1 with no problem. However it seems to have a bug that causes it to not display the 'objects' sometimes. It may have other bugs. I just used it to see what a period 1 based Index would look like. If it seems worth pursuing, I will try to find the original KG mq4 file and modify that, though I don't think it will be a lot different.

A period 2 RSI is very noisy. It averages only over two (time) samples. The period 2 KG GROUP averages over two time samples and 7 pair samples, so it has the noise properties of a period 14 RSI, but the lag properties of a period 2 RSI. The period 1 KG GROUP should have less than 1 bar lag on average with noise properties of a period 7 RSI. That seems about as good as one could do, but the additional noise filtering of the period 2 KG may be worth the additional 1 bar lag.

you and Macman keep reminding us that there is no such thing as set it and forget it EA and there must always be manual intervention. Did your results of today had any manual intervention or did you leave it on fully automatic to see how it does.

Kind regards

does this mean that you will now not be releasing as planned on the 30th?

Hi scoobs,
you already did a great job with this piece of EA. Even if it does not run continuously perfect, I think the EA will run perfectly at the beginning of a month and beginning of the weeks. If we reach a profit of 10% per month it will be great. We should be patient.

Two questions, if you have time to answer:
1. Could you have intervened successfully from your order desk using available info?
2. Would the info here http://orderbookfx.com/ have helped the rest of us if we knew how to use it?
Thanks

I would think that the correct application of the service you listed is highly valuable.

Anyone has enough experience please enlighten us. Many thanks in advance.

Funny...I was going to ask scoobs the same question. He has mentioned many times about how retail traders are at a disadvantage because of our lack of info regarding the bigs and their pending orders.

Do you think this service is legit? On the surface, it does seem to be.

Hi Scooby-Doo,

Will you be releasing the EA this saturday as you stated before?

Checking the trades from your record on myfxbook (before you took the account down) I noticed that the hit you took was caused by that day's fundamentals; they moved against you but could've worked in your favor as well..

My point being that the trading logic seems to be working (obviously I'm talking from what I observed on your demo), and the hit could've been avoided by closing all the trades in light of the big news that were ahead

I hope I'm not out of line here, but please consider releasing it on saturday as was planned before.

Bes regards, Diego

Yes on both counts.

Source code is provided so you could build it into any EA and make alot of dosh.

This assumes that they are getting their pending order sell/buy from the top 4 main tier banks.

The reason why the EA failed was because my CB_Intervention(string index) function was not working properly.

I am re-working on this function.

Will keep you all posted when I have fixed it.

I'm not sure if knowing the orderbook is such a big advantage unless your a tick by tick trader. Knowing where the aggregate stop area's are probably more of an advantage don't you think Scoobs? This is because there are hidden iceberg orders outside the book and if the orderbook was so helpful it would be fully exploited by HFT's to a point of being contrary when you think you see an opportunity.

Hi Scoobs

Our friends at the BOJ sold a lot of YENs once again. Good time for retracement traders coming soon. I wonder if your CB string function picked this one up.

Kind Regards
