We are back to 1.0500 ... almost there...
I reckon we'll see 1.0700 visited before US "close" of bussiness on Friday.

Seems pretty far fetched imo, 1.06 is much more realistic but we'll all have to see how the gdp and eurozone unfolds

im tempted to think the bulls are pricing in a good gdp report before its even released. this bull run cant be based on the summit results alone...surely?



hopefully the gdp report misses expectations, i want to be there to take advantage of that potential mess

AUD @ 1.0540,
With european news like that I will not be surprised i we get to 1.0700 atleast, by Friday. We might se that level when we wake up tomorrow, Friday morning...

I moved my stop to 1.0460 on my long from 1.0409

this is a key move, you got unlucky being stopped out on those last longs you posted about so locking in profits is the best thing you could do in my opinion

I think for whatever reasons ,the interest from carry trade is very good so far ..why would they sell aussie & buy usd then ( even if we have rate cut nx week the pullback will be temporary only) ..Good Luck

Stop manegement is always the hardest bit for me. I think we all find it relatively easy to pick our entries but where to exit and where to put our stop is harder...

Anyway, looks like burger kings RISK ON at the moment!

I did take the call and stopped out by their recommended stop loss. It's a lesson to learn.

for all we know the summit will be success and the euro will be pushed down people would say "this market is crazy irrational" then the news will print a day later "euro summit not enough to sway investors?"... god how many times have we watched this happen.. watch ur charts note that eurousd is at tough resistance coming into this summit.. the market never behaves like its suppose to

to be fair to the 'expert' he recommended that trade to be made based on the results of the gdp release. and the pair was floating around 100 pips below his entry price at the time.
but yes, like ive said before you have to make mistakes to be able to learn from them

on a different note, equities are up all over the world on the euro news and im considering taking a gamble on the gdp data missing expectations. definitely dont have the guts to short in these conditions though

AUD rallied 300 pips from the bottom without any "appreciable retrace"!

Thats big time conviction!

Good thing I didnt short @ 1.0425; good thing I didnt short @ 1.0450, or whereever those fibs and extensions or whatever. I stepped aside.

True that, I often find profitable trades turn ugly when I refuse to shift my S/L to B/E after being deep in the green

I just can't stomach it if it hits red and then proceeds to blast through my target.

Anyway, congrats on the long

Was tempted to short to, but luckily i convinced myself that not making any money is better than losing money lol
